Loving the chilled video :) If you are ever able to talk a bit about how you take care of your secondhand/vintage clothing, that would be really helpful. I’ve recently bought a few bits from thrift shops, and want to make them last. Thanks from the UK🇬🇧🙂
P.S. I was in Venice recently and bought gorgeous red Murano glass heart-shaped earrings, and a blue and silver ring. Such nice pieces!

do you ever go to Hidden Treasures in Topanga Canyon? Whenever I visit California I always go there and I always find vintage goodies…… And how about the store? It's A Wrap… I've never been there but I would like to go. I am aware that those are costumes from Television and movies and since they do a lot of period pieces, you might be able to find some vintage in there.❤

That was so fun. I LOVE those shops. Thought of you yesterday when I bought a red leopard print jacket at our local antique shop. Label said The Dynasty Collection and came with a matching dressy top. It was very much your vibe.
Oh wow! Dynasty is a great brand and usually super pricey when I see it at vintage shops! Sounds so fab!

I have that same bomber jacket in my Poshmark closet, purchased at a charity shop, looked up that particular brand and was amazed at the original price…over $500
That's a University of Illinois sweatshirt, their colors are orange & blue. Very good school for engineering & computer science. Is there still a consignment store on Green St. in Pasadena? I used to shop there 25 years ago when I lived in LA. Found some great stuff there thanks to the ladies of Pasadena & San Marino.

So many times, when I have watched you thrift, I’ve wanted to be in the USA. There were some great thrift stores in Sydney, when I lived there, but a lot of the stuff in my local area seems to come from Kmart. Boring. Still looking for a store that might have something incredible.
Because vintage clothing tends to run smaller in size, could you throw in how you stay healthy to fit in these “size windows”? As an over 40, I’ve noticed weight creeping on, which doesn’t please me.
I totally feel you on body changes after 40. I’m 42 and noticing the slow weight gain. I’m walking and doing some Pilates 1-2 times a week. I think I need to do more strength training tho because I’m not as toned as I like to be.
How can you know where the money goes?
Okay... your Insta was SUPER misleading when you said you, "thrifted" your Escada belt. hahah $155 at a charity shop like this to me is NOT "thrifting" per say, but more of finding something at a consignment shop which is indicative of higher end pieces/prices than a thrift store. Nevertheless, its a great belt! I would re-phrase that!

@@lilo2226 its from a consignment store, not a thrift. It was donated by a high end clientele to a charity shop yes- but not a true donation- it was donated with intention of making the shop money for a good cause rather than being donated to a Savers for example. We have a similar shop where I am. There is NO way an Escada coin belt is being casually tossed into a garbage bag and donated to a Goodwill today, as there is a heightened luxury goods awareness from every Tom Dick and Harry. When you say "thrifted" people assume or think, less than $10.

I think you misspelled “fab thrifter”. In the US we don’t call that “fake”.
You must have missed Annette clarifying the difference between thrift shops and charity shops in the beginning of the video. Annette is very genuine and takes the time to enlighten, inspire and educate her community. Maybe you can pay that forward.
