We went a few weeks back, in mid-October. Perfect weather and time to go! Not AS many crowds (though the park starts filling up as noon nears), hot enough to enjoy the cool water in the day, and cool enough for a campfire and comfortable sleeping temps in the tent. Deer and wild turkeys shared the camp with us! We stayed in #6 but if we go back, we'll go for #14. Its the most secluded and closest to the path to the park. Y'all, word is getting out about how perfect this place is, so yes, 45 days out and if you're trying for a weekend or holiday or during summer/spring break, you may need to stay up til midnight if the 45 day mark to reserve. But this place is so worth any effort you put towards planning! The beauty of the grotto and surrounding area is dreamlike and surreal!
Back in the 70's my friends and I went inside the spring head. There were several dry tunnels too small to enter that broke off the main dry cave. The water was flowing below our feet. Of course, after 50 years all can be different inside today, plus the steel cage in front of the spring head was rebuilt to keep people from entering.
Heck yeah thank you for this I live about an hour away and I’ve only been able to get into rock springs once haha it just gets so full. So we just end up paddle boarding at kings landing (I always bring the board just in case I can’t get into rock) just got a camper so I’m going to have to camp out here one weekend!
Love your choice of music! I miss camping already, we winterized our camper for the season (Wisconsin)! Can't wait til next season, in the meantime I will enjoy your videos!❣️
I'm a local in the area. Wekiwa state park gets super busy on weekends and holidays. People will throw trash in the water and the cops are called all the time for unruly visitors. The area tends to smell like pee during the busy days. I've seen big gators on the run too. I'd skip Wekiwa if I were you.
My family and I are wanting to go camping here next May. You mentioned campsite 17 only has 1 electric hook up, buy what about campsite 3? Was there 2 electrical spots or still just one?
Hi! This park looks amazing! Are you always able to get to the water or is there a possibility of it filling up and them not letting anymore in? I wasn't sure how it worked if you're staying here at the campground verses just coming to visit the springs for the day? Thank you!
If you are staying at the campground, you always have access to the springs. They do limit people who are coming for the day and that's based on capacity.
This isn’t a hidden gem anymore- you can’t even get a reservation 6 months out. This has always been my favorite spot for family camping but the secret is out. If you can get in - definitely go to Kelly Park.
Too crowded with tourists who don't care to take care of the place. It used to be amazing when I was younger, but unfortunately people have a tendency to ruin things.
And even if you call on the date where it's 45 days out, you've got to call at 12:00 a.m., when that day starts because people are (as one Kelly Park staff put it) "website stalkers"! I'm having ZERO luck so far in making a weekend reservation but trying a third time next week and THIS TIME I'll stay up til midnight on the 45-days-out date! @@NicholasGramazio
Oh no! No dogs allowed! Sounds great otherwise. We stopped camping at county parks, because they tend to be noisy and crowded. I've been tubing down that spring, and it's lovely.

I live just minutes away from here. :-) our hidden gem is no longer hidden.
That is the best to see a camp ground like that with all they do for the campers.

That video of the water is the bestest. Makes me want to move to Florida. I will just keep watching your videos.
Thank you for all the time time and attention that you put into these videos!

Love these videos...just wish we lived close by so we can visit these rv parks.
Nice campground. Looks like you all had fun
Nice video. This place is in my back yard and have been planning on going. It's nice when a video pops up to remind me to go

Orange County parks policy reservation window begins 45 days prior to your date, fyi

Newbie campers here, but what do you do when it rains 3 days straight?😬
Just enjoy time together
The reservation is approximately 3 year wait. Ridiculous!
Wow
How do you get to the link you mentioned for Tmobile unlimited plan?

Hi!
Any cabins?
They don't have cabins but Wekiwa does
Omg alligators o no
Glad no dogs !!!
🐊
Too bad about the dogs, makes it a hard no :(
Liked that it is a budget friendly alternative. Hate that pets are not allowed.
Lol. These guys spent 40k on a camper and 50k on a truck to pull it. They don't know what budget is. Lol
