    I've watched more videos than I'd like to admit but this one hit the nail on the head! Personal growth/development is never ending and you guys are in the "season" of reality! What matters and what matters not so much! Priorities are amazing and a must, Thanks so much for sharing your life experiences and true perspectives!

    Watched many of your videos and must say I found this one the most compelling. As a retired part time RV’er, with past experience of problems with time management, I felt you hit the ball out of the park with your relaxed and knowledgeable presentation of protecting yourself from stress due to a desire to be seen in a certain light. Great reference to a back-up reference, also. The sooner people put into practice the methods you espoused, the better their lives can be. Great work!

    Thank you for your time. Your family inspires us. We have learned a lot from you. We love that you are people of faith. We are people of faith also. We think it would be interesting to find church to worship at. People are very interesting. We can learn a lot, by being quiet & listening to what they have to say. Then ask questions. Then put what you learned into action. Thank you for putting your family out here & being real.

    I watch you guys regularly, I enjoy them even though I don't have an RV. I might have one someday so I save your tips and tricks for beginners. I'm glad to help and wish I could afford to do more. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching as long as I have the internet. See ya.

    I'm going full time this coming summer after raising 10 children. It has been a life time goal of mine. My van is ready and God knows I"m ready. I think when burn out comes I'm just going to go visit family. With 10 children and my mom, sister still around, I have lots of places I can go to.

    You said just what I needed to hear now. The right things at the right time. Due to some health issues we probably won’t be spending our retirement in our motor home like I had hoped. Selling it seems so final, but that may be the right thing to do now. Faith, marriage and family those should be everyone’s priorities, especially mine. That word “no” is not easy for me. And maybe after 45 years as a nurse, the last 20 at pregnancy centers, maybe I need to take care of my husband rather than everyone else. Much to consider, well done video!

    It's interesting that there have been so many videos about burnout recently... including rving and full time rving. I thought I would hear the same ...but no. Well thought out, I really liked how you contectualized the structured and routine needs of kids. I thought I would watch a couple of minutes of this- but you know what, I watched to the end and found it so well=balanced. Perhaps we are all realizing that we need to take things just a tad slower ....Thank you for this!

    Most of the time when I feel burnout coming on I ask the other half to join me and we finish it together; just her being there to cheer me on helps. When it comes time to do it again (or do some other thing) I'm in a much better frame of mind to tackle whatever it is. I acknowledge our situation is a little unconventional though, as she deals with living with multiple painful and debilitating injuries so I'm literally doing all the physical labor for both of us and when I pull her away from whatever she's doing, it's usually not taking her away from something critical.
    ...but yeah, balance and timing are important too. She totally understands when I tell her it would be better for me to do something at a specific time instead of when she asks for it or that I need some downtime and we plan on when it will get done.
    That may be one of our biggest hindrances when we strike out on the road because there are days when she's barely able to get out of bed to use the restroom or she spends hours/an entire day recovering from a medical condition, let alone being able to sit in a seat and get belted in, so we'll have to play very loose with deadlines, checkout times, and (her) with being ok if there're things we end up not being able to do or see in our allotted time in any area. I'm thinking that last one will be the hardest for her, but only time will tell.

      God bless you sir. I feel the same way. If my wife of 38 years is by my side it always makes things easier. She is a cancer survivor and also lives with lymph edema in one leg and never complains. I pray your wife’s health improves…

    • @Brigand231
      @Brigand231 2 роки тому +1

      @@bjones211 Thank you, it's "nice" to correspond with someone who has a frame of reference in common. My other half's underlying issue is that she's been dealing with Type I Diabetes for [REDACTED] years, and when she blacked out at the top of a flight of stairs, well... gravity saw to it that she'll never have a pain-free day again in her life again or walk without assistance, and she refuses to live doped up on painkillers so the last ten or so years of our twenty together have certainly been interesting. There's also memory issues on top of that, though doctors refuse to declare she's had a brain injury. The most ironic part of it all is that my profession before I became her full-time caregiver was to be a caregiver to individuals with (mostly developmental) disabilities in their homes and out in the community and I was our agency's most experienced person when it came to clients who survived traumatic brain injuries. It's been a real mixed bag for sure - it was difficult with clients to know where the line was between allowing them to do things for themselves and helping them. When it's my spouse, it's infinitely harder to toe that line. I'd write books and paragraphs on the subject, but I need to get some kids to school. Will gladly chat if you've a mind to. You're not alone, there are others who take their promises and obligations seriously.

    I know this is off topic of the video about life balance. However, what advice or guidance can you give about a Power line energy management system. Do you have one? Which kind do you have? What questions does an RV newbie need to consider before the purchase and after?

    I've recently retired and have found the transformation to be somewhat difficult. Going from a structured life to making decisions on how to fill my time are not as obvious as I thought it would be. And on top of that, put the pandemic in the soup. Thanks again for working advice!
