Despite the mastery and celebrity he achieved, Pasquini lived a modest, simple and upright life. Nonetheless, his house was frequented by all the princes who came to Rome and among them we remember the Dukes of Modena and Mantua, the German princes of Hesse and Mecklenburg. Even the bizarre Queen Christina of Sweden, who was then residing in Rome, passing by the Borghese palace one day deigned to have Pasquini called to greet him; indeed it was the Queen herself who gave him the coveted title of "Prince of Music" and invited him to her Court at Palazzo Corsini, as "Chapel Master". Most foreigners, moreover, did not leave Rome without hearing him play, so great and widespread was his fame.
Wow! What amazing beautiful music! Thank you for performing and sharing this wonderful collection of Italian keyboard music. I had not heard of this composer before. I am really enjoying listening to this.
Agradecido; saudações do Brasil.
Thanks for sharing! It's beautiful! What a pity that someone dare making noises at about 3hours 27 when the organist is playing.. :( Cheers from France.
Roberto Loreggian was not the "artist". He is a musician, a completely noble career needing no euphemism. The artist, who you gave no credit was Nicolas Poussin (1594 - 1665). His painting, the one you graffitied, is entitled "Saint Cecilia" and was painted between 1627 and 1628. Artists deserve the same respect as musicians especially when their work is borrowed for other purposes.
I suggest you look up the word "artist" in a dictionary. The word "artist" doesn't only mean those who create visual objects such as paintings and sculpture. If you are a student of music you will know that J S Bach wrote a series of pieces called "The Art of The Fugue". In addition, my diploma clearly states (engraved on a 52 cm x 40 cm parchment in Latin) that I was awarded a "Doctor in the Art of Medicine" (Doctoris in Arte Medica). Anyone familiar the production of music albums knows that the artwork on the covers varies and the attribution may be on the back of the package. The artwork used by Brilliant Classics is scanned from the CD cover and is probably not copyrighted. If you read the comment by "Publius" made several months ago, you will see that he already posted the attribution without any condescending comments about its use. No one said or implied that Mr. Loreggian created the cover art. He is the performer of this musical artistry. ☸
Never the less one very often sees paintings used without mentioning the name of the artist/painter. When will they omit the nam of the composer? Thank you very much, Michael Hunter, for pointing at Poussin. A wonderfull painting in a late reminiscence of the raphaelesque style.
@@mhuten perhaps you get this impression from the fact that the harpsichordist doesn't play every voice on the same exact time, so they don't fall precisely together. It's a style of playing that is common especially for French and Italian music, but there's nothing random about it. Other than that, Pasquini predates Bach by 50 years, a lot happened in between, but the music is very structured, it's just early Baroque.

This is just so sublime but after a while it starts to get a little IRRITATING!! Ahh, Lurch!
Resulta tan aburrido el inglés; hay quien se pegunta por qué se le conde el interés que no debe tener.
Pieces written entirely as fugues are unbearable boring.
You have no understanding of music
lol this sounds completely random compared to Bach
@Silenus its like someone randomly pressing the keys
