- What started as a dull morning at Summer Leys, turned into a beautiful day. It can be very difficult balancing still shot photography with video but I was happy how this turned out. The wildlife photography in this video includes Great Egret, Little Egret, Teal, Cormorant, Swans, Coots and Dabchick.

Fabulous footage and images, as ever. We are so lucky to have this reserve on our doorstep. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. I completely agree, some of the wildlife we get at Summer Leys regularly is considered rarities elsewhere. Thanks for watching.
The stills are always beautiful, but I do enjoy the video to see the animals moving about, doing their own thing. Nice day at the pond for you! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Maggie. Always good to be out there at the pond as you say.... Thanks for watching...Keith
lovely photos good variety of birds very interesting, very peaceful area well done, look forward to the next, pauline
Thanks Pauline glad you like.
Lovely morning at Summer Leys whatever the weather forecast it is always worth getting out in nature, Camilla & I had a surprise amount of sunshine at Langford Lakes Wiltshire this morning. Great video like the music too
Thanks for watching Mark. Summer Leys has something for all weathers. Good to hear you had some sunshine, Langford Lakes is a place I have not been to yet. Glad you like the music I really have problems choosing sometimes. Some of the free music sounds so sleazy sometime....lol
Great Video Keith, nice images and what a great reserve to have locally 😀👌
Thanks Richard. Yes I am really lucky to have the wildlife on my doorstep. It is a great reserve. Thanks for watching. Cheers Keith
lovely photos good video
Thanks for watching Adrian
Lovely video Keith. A great mix of video and images and a nice range of birds at the reserve.
Thanks Andy appreciated.
Brilliant video. Beautiful photos and video. Many thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Paul and really pleased to you like the video and photos.... Cheers Keith
Very nice film, really liked the Egret and Cormorant stills, it just shows you what you can see with a bit of patience, just settling a hide and seeing what comes along, so many people stay a few minutes in a hide and then move on, enjoyed very much:-)
Thanks Graham. There is so much truth in what you say. My motto is always that you have to let the wildlife come to you and you can't go chasing it around. Always makes for the best pictures. Pick a location and then wait. Although I did that in your Green Woodpecker spot all weekend and failed miserably ...lol
Enjoyed the quiet moment by the water with you. Thank you
Thanks Brian great to have you along for the journey. Yes it was such a relaxing morning. Cheers Keith
Fantastic and very good .. thanks.... I like))) Thanks for the friendship)))
Thanks Jose. Appreciate you watching 😊
Hi Keith a brilliant video and some superb images especially the flight shots but my favourite image was the swan in black & white. Stuck indoors at the moment with a horrible virus not quite what I had in mind when I retired but all you guys on UA-cam are keeping me entertained.
Hi Clive. Thanks for watching and appreciate you comment. I was quite pleased how the Swan image came out. Hope you feel better soon.... Cheers Keith
Cool video, enjoyed it 👍
Have you ever done any videos about finding/photographing Crossbills? A bird I've been looking for for a while and would find it interesting.
Thanks for watching. I have never seen a Crossbill although there were some reported around my local area last year. Great idea and if they turn up again I will be sure to look out for them. Cheers Keith.
Good vid buddy, I’d have been jumping up and down at the Great egret! Lol 😂 be nice to catch up one day for a walk about 🤙
Thanks mate. Yes those Great Egrets are stunning birds and a couple of them around regularly on our local reserve. Sure one day we will bump into each other. Happy snapping.
And you buddy! 😊😉
Hey Keith, Great video and still photos! As I have mentioned before I get all twisted up with equipment and how things should be done while trying to do both video and stills at the same time... I am new to doing video... But, it looks as if you are finding the right balance with what you are doing. And then it comes to editing of both and how to put it together to look and sound right. I enjoyed it and look forward to your next adventure! Is that a public hide? I really like the lift off of the Cormorant! Sayin' hey.... Greg
Hi Greg. Thanks for continuing to support my channel. I feel like I am getting there but still have a lot to learn. This is from my local nature reserve so yes they are public hides. Makes it difficult sometime because I don't want to be recording and disturbing other who may be in there. That balance is difficult as I do not want to neglect my photography. What I try and do is record the video to fill the gaps when things are quiet. I was pleased with the Cormorant as it was a little different. Thanks for watching again.... Cheers Keith
Really enjoyed the video Keith , first time watching your channel. I have a wildlife you tube channel as well so it’s nice to see others putting on good content. Gem
Hi Gem. Thanks for watching and your kind comments. I will be sure to check out your channel. Cheers Keith
