Thanks. The gun was stuck and some paper from the roll became bunched up instead of coming out the bottom. Had to simply grab hold and pull.
My problem isn't the labels getting stuck... It's the gear things that bring the labels forward that fail. Label isn't being spit out all the way, I have to pull the red knob up every time I press out a label.
for anyone who's trigger is sticking - pull up the red or (black) piece - where the old ribbon feeds under and back through the gun. I had a about 80 labels worth of ribbon balled up in there. lifted that piece, pulled the ribbon taught, and one new label created and i was off and running again.
For me none of the labels are coming off n sticking...the label gear pullers just aren't pulling it out far enough. I have to pull the red knob EVERY time I want a label to come out.
Thank you for mentioning the number one thing to cause an issue, because that was exactly it.. a loose label...
My 1131 it’s not as smooth as it once was and it is not that old. What would be causing the sticking of the trigger?
My 1131 is sticking, it prints but then I have to pull the tape in back to make it click to next label. I have checked and there are no extra labels in gun. Does it need to be cleaned or something?
Hi Blake! Yes, there is a plastic thin rectangular piece that comes with the gun. It is for that purpose. Labels get stuck inside the gun and this piece helps to get them out of it. You don't want to dismantle the gun. If you don't have the piece I am referring to, please let us know. I'm not sure if it will resolve the issue but labels sticking inside could be the culprit.
I had the same trouble. I realized the cardboard circle in the middle of the roll of labels was too small and it was causing extra tension on the strip of labels. Try to peel most of the cardboard out from the middle of the roll and see if that helps.

Try this. Open up the top portion of the gun by pulling the latches back and look inside. There may be a label stuck to the print band where the labels print out. You may not notice it at first because it is probably black from the ink going across it over and over.
there is no label or piece of one in the gun. It looks like the roller has come apart little pieces of it everywhere. Tried cleaning it with alcohol but no luck.

At my job we have 7 of these guns and they all have the same problem after a bit of use the recoil slows down and the sticker doesnt come out fast enough to label the product. Ive tried everything including lubricating the housing where the sticker roll is placed. Ive also completely disassembled and reassembled multiple times on different guns but they all have the same problem. Its weird because it doesnt happen all the time but when it does its frustrating. Im not referring to stickers being caught internally either. If anyone has any ideas as to what causes the problem and how to fix it i would appreciate it.
We have the same issue, would like to know a solution. I've tried to stretch out the trigger spring too, but that didn't solve the issue. @travis what type of lube did you use and where did you apply it? I see monarch sells a special "silicone lube" but perhaps its just standard silicone lube.
Same problem here. No stickers inside, but after you squeeze the trigger, the trigger doesn’t come fully out, and the sticker isn’t sticking out far enough to stick to item. Seems to work fine when the gun is empty...
