    great segment, I own a mic mechanic and recently I just bought a voice live play & mp75. I've been tooling around the menu and figuring it out over the last week . I really like the features on it. Btw the sub menu tip was exelent! also I'd to add that my new mic easily replaces my sm58. The mp75 really cuts through the mix, it's clear, great feedback resistance, and it's very directional. good products guys!

    Thanks guys. I've been using a play GTX for a few years now as a worship leader to add some texture to my voice and guitar. Love it!

      +Jonathan Schmitz That's awesome. If you ever have any footage of you using it in a service, let us know! It's an area where we think TC-H could help more people but it's not shown that often.

    Hi! Does voice live play offer the capabilities of the tc helicon Voice tone correct xt? I intended to buy a voice tone correct xt, but the other capabilities of the voicelive play are tempting.

      +Andy Browne We definitely will. The concept is that we'll have different products on depending on what we're trying to show with the music and whatnot. It's inevitable that different products will have more than one appearance throughout the seasons, so this isn't "the VoiceLive Play episode", it's just "one where we use VLP". Based on our setup (you can see me running the camera angles and bumpers, we can't change products in the middle, so we pick one for each show.

    Hello, i just wanted to ask, does the Play Electric has the same features that the VoiceLive Play just adding the guitar effects? or is the VoiceLive Play a better version for only vocals

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому

      +Titerobot You're correct that Play Electric has the same features as Play. The vocal effects/looping and I/O are identical. Play Electric adds instrument in/thru, guitar out and the amp/effects.

    Funniest thing about this video is the echo is actually on “wide awake” not just “awake”.

    Hello Tom and Craig! I'm a happy owner of a voicelive play GTX and I use it in every video of my One Man Band channel here at youtube. I was searching the voice support patches library looking to find some acoustic guitar dedicated patches, but I can't find any specific. Browsing the unit I found some that worked, but I would love to find more of then. Is there a place for users to exchange patches for the GTX? Do you guys plan to create some more patches for it? Thanks! Pixel Man Band

      @tchelicon  8 років тому

      +pixelmanband VoiceLive Play GTX is discontinued, so you won't see more development on it, but you might want to try over on the forums to see what others are doing for acoustic on GTX.

    I have already ordered my voice live play, can u please tell the proper way to install in a basic pa system(speaker and amplifier) without mixer.
    regards

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому +2

      +Ravish Goel Sure. Connect your mic to the Play, set the mic gain level so that the input LED goes green/yellow but not red when you sing your loudest, then (with the PA off) connect one (mono) or two (stereo) xlr's from the Play to the input(s) on the PA. Turn the PA volume all the way down and turn on the PA. Slowly raise the volume level while you sing. If you start getting feedback, back it off a bit.

    what kind of mic you are guys using?

  • @subbbass

    sorry guys, I like your videos (and yesterday ordernd my 4. TC Heli product : VL3X ;-),
    but I can clearly hear, that Katy has not only "wake" in the delay. I can clearly hear the F and 2 G (second G is "wake").
    I think the delay has to be a quarter note in half tempo, or a half note in your tempo 160bpm.
    I would be interested in the sound of Dave Gahan , Depeche Mode . I think his vokal sound is similar from the 80ies til now and is THE signature-sound of depeche mode. How they do this?

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  7 років тому +3

      Good observation. We often shoot for "close enough" to show the idea of the effect and how the method of listening and trying to copy the sound works, all in 7-10 mins. We sacrifice a bit of perfection in order to get things into the right time frame and also to show more "how" someone would go about building it for themselves.

    • @subbbass

      and I thought this was a test, if we (the audience) listen carefully enough ... ;-)

    I'm frustrated that I see the same things over and over: echo, reverb, etc. What I want and never see is any sort of pitch shift to allow me to hit notes that my voice by itself cannot. Example, when I was younger I could sing most of Smokey Robinson's "Tears of a Clown", (Or the Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive") now that I'm older, I try those high notes and no sound comes out. I would like to be able to sing songs like those -- if there's a box between me & my audience I could care less. Can you guys help? I'm eyeing up the Touch 2. Is there a Touch 3 coming out anytime soon?

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому +1

      +tkarlmann One of the best ways to get that on a Touch2 would be to use the HardTune block and set it to "Correct Natural", then use the "Shift" parameter to move things up an entire octave. It won't sound perfectly like you singing and octave up, but it's pretty cool.
      I can't comment on a Touch 3 with much specific info, but I can tell you it's not imminent or anything. I'd say it's quite unlikely in 2016. That close enough? I'm walking a bit of a line here ;)

    • @tkarlmann
      @tkarlmann 8 років тому

      TC-Helicon Thanks for the tip! Two points: 1) Is HardTune, Correct Natural, Shift up one Octave, available on the TC-Helicon portion of the Korg Pa-4x? 2) Future Products -- I was hoping a Touch 3 would be shown in NAMM this coming January. Is this possible?

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому

      +tkarlmann Definitely no Touch 3 at NAMM 2016. I'm not sure specifically which modes are in the PA-4X, but I don't think HardTune is in there.

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому

      +tkarlmann The Korg stuff is mostly on a licensing type level. We don't do a lot of direct development with them. More like consultation to help them get things implemented. Mostly it's my ignorance because I haven't worked on any of that side of things. Sorry for any misinformation!
      I do know that the MP-76 isn't compatible with the Korg gear.

    • @tkarlmann
      @tkarlmann 8 років тому

      TC-Helicon Thanks the prompt replies!!!! It's difficult to get a listing of all the affects and what they do both from TC-Helicon as well as Korg! TC-Helicon has chosen cutesy names for your affects -- which tell me nothing! Do you have a document for the Touch2 that lists what each preset does? (Like main voice + a third up, etc)

      Does this pedal really have EQ and compression? I don’t see anyone showing these effects. 🤔

    • @sssyntax
      @sssyntax 2 роки тому

      @@totigerus i think that high pass/eq and auto gain riding like waves vocal rider would be one of the greatest assets to a pedal like this. Maybe mic modelling too :)
