The storylines in VIXX's "Dynamite," "Fantasy" and "The Closer" are connected. They are all part of a trilogy of albums with a Geek mythology theme. Each MV tells the story of the Greek God that each album is named after and all the B-side songs play off that theme.
The first album they released was Zelos, which featured their lead track "Dynamite." The story in the "Dynamite" MV is based on Zelos, the Greek God of jealousy and rivalry.
"Fantasy" is the lead track on their Hades album. This song and MV is telling the story using the metaphor of Hades, the God of the underworld.
The final album is Kratos with their lead track "The Closer." This song and MV is based on the theme of Kratos, the Greek God who personifies strength, might, sovereign rule and authority in all its forms. The story in "The Closer" MV is actually told in reverse. Therefore, what you see at the end is actually the beginning of this part of the story and what you saw in the beginning is what happened at the end of it.
And to complicate things even more, in order to see the full story you actually have to watch all three MVs in reverse release order. If you watch the three MVs together you will see that the stories are connected and it continues from one to the other. In other words, although "The Closer" came out last, it is actually the beginning of the story. Therefore, you have to watch "The Closer," then "Fantasy," then "Dynamite" to understand the story better.
The girl you see in all 3 MVs is the same girl. So, if you connect the storylines and take into consideration that it's being told in reverse order, the story in "Fantasy" explains what lead up to the story in "Dynamite" and it explains why N ends up the way we see him in "Dynamite." And "The Closer" MV is showing how the story begins, which will help explain how N got to this dark place in his life, which we see in "Fantasy."
This!!! And he even mentioned the evil eyes on their hand on Dynamite, so if he watch the videos in the correct order will see the eyes appear :p

I am so happy they are back. I missed their voices. As sad as it is that the other members are not here I can't deny it was really nice to hear Hyuk more! I feel he was often overlooked for his vocals and finally he had a chance to really shine :) I hope N can re-join them in the near future :)

I agree that it's really nice to see a group break from the "rap moment" formula. Not every song *has* to have a rap portion, even if the group has a rapper/can rap.
I am so glad to see a come back from them. I've missed VIXX!! They are really great, in so many ways.

Bro you really need check out VIXX LR's stuff like Beautiful Liar's MV is crazily good and the amount of gay soulmate vibe in Whisper is INSANE, their b-sides in general are pretty good too I have a whole playlist of everything they've put out and I just listen to them all on regular basis even when I've fall out of them for a period(and I'm back, the end of a draught brings starlights back)

What I appreciate most about them is that despite missing the other members and their unique styles, VIXX has presented an exceptional album and title song, giving the impression that they are not lacking in any way. It's not that I wouldn't love to see the other members, but Leo, Ken, and Hyuk are truly doing an outstanding job (:
In my opinion VIXX does adlibs and high notes at the end of songs the best of all kpop groups I've listened to. Not too much, not too little, just chef's kiss.
Fun fact, during Eternity promotions N had to wear a wig because he was filming a drama at the same time so he couldn't dye his hair
My 2nd babies (bigbang was my first discovery 12yrs ago) been with them since day one and N took my heart. sad he's not in this comeback cause he's busy being an actor now but starlights always supporting them. Can't wait for dance practices they are chefs kiss
Super excited Concept Kings are back and better than ever. VIXX MVs, VeriVery MVs references, and the missing members included in the MV for Amnesia the n in Amnesia for N, Ravi Silhouette from Chained Up, and HONGBIN’s lovely heart from Error because VIXX will always be OT6. I for one am excited for the Live Performances for Amnesia and for VIXX to participate in Challenges this comeback.
VIXX also has a Special Video for Dynamite where they are cosplaying as Greek Gods.

The trilogy was actually my favorite era of Vixx. I can't get enough with their songs. Dynamite, Fantasy and The Closer gave different vibes to each other but the quality was so on point. Also, Ken is my bias wrecker and he looked so gorgeous in blonde. N is my ultimate bias btw.

I think you'd love their bsides and also VIXX-LR songs, they have such an interesting storyline even for their sub unit, and the songs are great!

Really enjoyed your reaction to VIXX, and was great to watch you enjoy their MVs. I would like to recommend you to check on their live performances as well(especially year-end special stages) if you are interested. VIXX's MVs are great, but they are also well known for their epic & aesthetic stage performances.

I’m loving seeing your videos. We’re basically in the same stage haha. I was introduced to their music couple of weeks ago (after refusing all kind of kpop groups) but I just couldn’t resist to this one. And I’m really sad that I didn’t discovered them sooner, they even came to Mexico 5 years ago. So all your reactions have been my reactions over the past 2 weeks that I’ve been listening to all their songs and watching their videos.
And of course I stayed up until 4am today to watch Amnesia as soon as it came out

With the Conception trilogy, it's important to note that each member represents a figure in Greek mythology! the main figure is Ken, he is Zeus. as you watch the 3 music videos and read the lyrics, you can see how his lyrics (particularly in Dynamite) emulate the Zeus figure, that he is controlling this situation. when this song was released, the MV didn't give many clues of what was coming next, but Starlights managed to guess the roles of the members due to the lyrics of this song + the Conception video. the Conception trilogy short teaser video also shows them all in aesthetic shots as the figures they represent! from the VIXX 'ker' album booklet: N is human, Leo is Achilles, Ken is Zeus, Ravi is Dionysus, Hongbin is Prometheus and Hyuk is Hermes. the girl is Nayoung (Gugudan). It seems that Leo is with her, Ken goes to Ravi to create a love potion (which creates the evil eye), which he gives to Hakyeon who also falls in love with her. Zeus really was just there to mess around and cause drama on purpose lol

N not being in this comeback was such a loss,, he just brings an extra oomf to the dance performances. But nevertheless the boys did great I’m so glad we still get to have vixx music despite the lineup changes

Everybody saying VIXX LR - honey, they are not playing. "Beautiful Liar" is basically Leo being a normal flawed human and Ravi being both the devil and the angel on his shoulder, plus they''re shirtless on the beach at one point. (My only question for that one is, "On a scale of 1 to SHINee, how loud is Ravi's suit?") "Whisper" is straight-up BF/BF goals and will SEND. YOU. Also, when you get to dance practices, I know that I and others have mentioned "Errored", but I saw your face during a couple of key spots for Hyde and let me tell you, it's even better when you can just watch them dance it.
I can’t wait to see your video reaction to their choreography videos! I highly recommend to watch The Wind of Starlight + Shangri-la (remix) which is a special performance they did for 2017/2018 new year. That was really beautiful!! They also performed it for the MBC Music Festival a few days later and Imo I liked the video of it a little bit more for the camera work, since it had more close-up of their expressions and it felt more stable.

If you enjoy the vocals, I suggest some of Leo's songs or Ken's Song duet festival performance. Ken's Vocals from the duet festival made me especially fall in love with his voice

for me, only VIXX who is king of the concept. Their concept always different in every song
If you're doing a dance practice/choreography video for VIXX I would also recommend "Love me do" (the star show 360 version).
I'm always happy when people discover VIXX. For the longest time they were definitely one of my favorites and I always got excited for their comebacks. So glad they came out with a new song, but sad that they weren't all together, even though N is killing it in the drama he's in. ❤ I'm interested to see the direction they go and hope N comes back for their next comeback. Hopefully they can squeeze one in before it's time for Hyuk to enlist.

Let me give you a fun facts of Vixx.. the Closer song was supposed to be perform by EXO yet the composer choose VIXX to perform it.. then the MV was in a trend of Mannequin Challenge in which this was the first MV released in a trend before the Got7, Shinee, BlockB and others take the mannequin challenge. Hope my comment can be seen as well haha

Unfortunately, due to copyright issues, I don't think you could upload the videos of MBC duet song festival (duet song competition show that a pro singer with an amateur becomes a duo and competes with the other teams) that Ken was in with his partner Sangyeob who is now the main vocal of the rock boy band, Rucy. Still, I want you to check out videos from the show Duet Song Festival to watch Ken's live vocals outside vixx perfs if you have extra time and interest. 😂

Since you mentioned that this is an example of songs not necessarily needing a rap part I have to say I dislike most rap in K-pop songs nowadays anyways lol

I'd be interested in seeing your reaction to Rock Ur Body. It was their first comeback after Super Hero and I feel that it's very underrated in their discography. Its instrumental is among my favorites. It even incorporates a little dubstep, which I HATED as a trend back then, but it was executed very well, I'd say.

So, you might already know this is part of the conception trilogy, along with dynamite and fantasy. Although, this came in the last after dynamite and fantasy, respectively, VIXX did say the story is shown backwards (so storywise this comes first then fantasy and then dynamite). They all depict the Greek mythology surrounding Zeus, Hades, Pandora, and more..... I have seen some pretty detailed videos explaining the mvs with the story line.... I will comment the links if I find them..... While you enjoy VIXX❤❤

The entire year of conception was amazing-we spent so much time trying to figure out who was which Greek god and I just remember us being confused over who was Hades and who was Zeus.
Also VIXX was the first idol group that really filmed in that building-it started getting used a lot after that 😂
@@taekmyheart They did a lot of things first, didn`t they? Also, the whole thing with the collars became popular after them and a bunch of other things. But just imagine, if they didn`t do chained up it would be likely that we wouldn`t see so many idols with some form of collar or chocker.
