I ended up getting the Mainlink XL's (matte black frame/black earsocks) and swapped-in the deep water prizm lenses....perfect everyday sunnies IMHO. Thanks SportRX!
That is a great question! They are similar, for sure. The Mainlink is more of a 'crossover' pair and is also a bit more 'robust'. The big difference is all of the grip on the Mainlink. It makes them much better for any more active use. It is tougher to find the Sliver these days. You should go for the Mainlink!
Hi! The portal has a wider profile (136mm) compared to the Mainlink (132mm) in addition to a wider and taller lens. Both have a 6 base wrap with plenty of unobtanium (rubber) along the nosebridge and temples for a secure fit making them excellent athleisure frames that you can wear from the trail to the cafe.
You say it’s a 132mm frame but on the closeup it says 138mm... Are these wider/bigger than the Crossrange R? Which say 137mm on the arm. Got a pair of Crossrange R’s but they just look too big so looking for something slightly smaller. Wearing for trail / forest mtb. Any help would be great!
looks like a toy by design and execution, they can't replicate the polished black look of a bakelite plastic, they used to make sunglasses from in the 90's, much more durable, the right weight so you don't forget you have them on, and so on. I miss those days.

That’s a great setup! We hope you love them as much as we do!
I have one, and I want to ask why does the lens bubble?
I am not too sure what you are asking but our certified opticians would love to help you out! You can reach them here: www.sportrx.com/contact
Now the regular size is discontinued what would you recommend as a replacement for these? Just lost my Mainlinks and loved them for all activities.
We love the Oakley Portal X! Check em out www.sportrx.com/oakley-portal-x.html
Can anyone confirm if the lenses are polarized or is that a extra feature?
Hi just got a Mainlink XL (matte brown tortoise, can it fit to a carbon fiber case pill shape.? Thanks
Unsure TBH Gi Ga, try it out!
The unobtanium on mine fell off within months. That was 4 years ago.
Sorry to hear that! Did you take your frame back to where you bought it for a possible warranty on the defective batch?
@@sportrxeyewear Yeah through Lenscrafters. Can't remember the details but they were never fixed. I did have $50 towards a warranty.
How does this compare to the sliver? Looks similar

The Mainlink features Unobtainium grip on the temple arms. The Sliver does not.
