- Today I will show you how to DIY removing a Volkswagen side view mirror assembly. This is actually a very common repair at the dealership. You will need to remove the door trim panel before making this repair. This is performed on a MK4 Jetta, other VWs and Audis may be similar

My 2006 VW Beetle is very different. No T45 bolt on the inside. Still stumped on what mine is all about. Grrrr -

What about just the glass? Mkiv R32, the videos I've seen the glass does not have the long tab on the outer back side of the glass, last one i tried i broke the tabs on the halo. Any help would be appreciated.

how do you replace a turn signal on the side mirrow??
That is a little more involved. For that the glass must come off, and the painted cover too
you need to do a video on a New Beetle side view mirror. Not as easy as a Jetta....
I don’t. They didn’t have a good Beetle to use.
hey humble mechanic, long time listener first time caller. I have a question regarding a fuel pump in a 01 Jetta GLS 1.8t. ol' girl sputtered a bit while driving, parked it, and it won't fire. no buzzing from the fuel pump, sprayed some fuel into the intake manifold directly and it ran, checked fuses, all good, checked the relay, checked for power at the fuel pump, I get 10 volts when cranking and 1.something on what I assume is the sending unit for the gauge, which still reads the proper fuel level, of course this always happens when the tanks full.. anyway are there any serviceable parts to the pump? are then any checks aside from the micro switch in the door, that I could do, or am I replacing a fuel pump?? any info at your earliest convenience would be great.. thanks In advance, and keep up the good work, love the videos.

Sounds like the pump to me. If you have power at the pump while cranking, but no activation, it is most likely the pump. I think you can actually replace the pump motor. I have not done this. I will be taking my first crack at it on my GTI. I would imagine being carful is key
Thank you for the reply. Update, removed pump assembly, disassembled, cleaned all components, bench test on pump itself and it ran, reassembled, ran while in assembly. Reinstalled assembly, car started, turned it off and it wouldn't start again. Having it narrowed down to the pump, do you know of a place I can purchase just the pump itself? Every place I've found sells the pump in the assembly, a bit pricey. Any info would be useful. Thanks again.

Clifton Wink, I'm a fan of Ecs tuning and urotuning. Found a high flow pump, think I'm going to put it in the assembly, wanna go with high flow injectors so after some research, might need more fuel to supply the injectors..
