2005 Mercedes E500 add transmission fluid / dipstick

I could not find a video showing exactly where the transmission fluid needs to be added so I creates this video quickly showing where you insert the long 3ft+ dipstick goes and also where to add transmission fluid. I work better by seeing someone else show me so figured this may help someone

I have a 08 cls550 is it the black plastic on top of the trans bell housing

I have the 2005 E500 and after doing donuts with it the transmission fluid pump bearing spun out, threw a seal and leaked all the fluid out. Had it replaced with an updated pump and bearing and seal, no problems since. Is yours RWD 7-Speed or 4Matic 5-speed ? Mercedes puts "life time" fluid but really I highly recommend changing the fluid. I live near Chicago

THERE IS NO DIP STICK ACCESS IN A MERCEDES 722.9 TRANSMISSION. LEVEL IS SET BY OVERFLOW TUBE ON TRANSMISSION PAN.

but i used generic autozone brand it worked but clearly a difference between name brand and cheap

Try to rotate the dip stick slightly as you insert it but not hard enough to snap it

Aaron F I tried already. There is some block on the Surface of the hole. 2004 e500 base might be different from yours.
