I have all of their recordings starting in 1945 when they played just after the WWII. Seen them live in Rotterdam Zoo building. Still have the program from that event. The band is still playing today in many European countries they visit. Still have some Long play records which i took with me to Canada.

Kettlebell-Uhren mit Pendel und Kuckuck sind heute selten geworden, können aber immer noch im Internet gekauft werden. Ich hoffe, dass diese Video-Repassage Sie dazu inspiriert, es wieder zu tun. Strange that the bandleader this song introduces as a song with a German title. The source is a Yiddish song 'Bay mir bisti shain', the composer is Sholem Secunda. The first interpreters were 'The Bagelman Sisters', later americanized as 'The Barry Sisters'. Perhaps the best known version sung in English translation is from non-jewish 'The Andrew Sisters'. The earliest jazz-version is probably by The Benny Goodman Sextet with Martha Tilton (vocals) in 1937.

Apetrots was ik toen ik als 14 jarige van de fameuze Peter Schilperoort pianoles kreeg. Dit was trouwens de beste DSC formatie ooit.

I suppose he didnt know that. On most records it is written as if it was German. I think that has brought the misunderstanding
even Zahra Leander recorded it in swedish, in 1938

i should say the video quality is not as good as in the 1970s so i think this is from 1930 or 40s
