    Awesome video. Everything was well explained and at a good pace. Any chance you would make a video on making a mold around that solid model? I have a small homemade cnc I’d love to make a injection mold for soft baits.

      Thanks! I can put that on the video idea list for Fusion 360, I have one for tinkerCAD but it wouldn't hurt to update to Fusion version because it's just so much more powerful. If you're curious to see the TinkerCAD version you can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/XV7UgCL6AyI/v-deo.html
      Thanks for watching and the video idea!

    You should print that bad boy and lets see how it turns out. I'm assuming you are going to make a mold and cast the bait, it would be cool to see all that.

      You know it! I just finished the first print version of it and it's a little bit small so the next print will have to be scaled up a bit. It's always difficult to tell exactly what something will feel like in the hand after it's converted to the real world, not bad though printed decent! Stay tuned.

    I am a complete noob with Fusion. I recently started a lure manufacturing company and I want to come up with some original baits that I have ideas for. This video will definitely help with that! Thanks!!

      @@RevampedOutdoors I have another question for you...what are you using to move around the model and rotate it? Surely not just a regular mouse, right? I'm looking for some better than just a mouse and keyboard. Thanks!

      @@PudgyPastures yup just a regular logitech wireless mouse and keyboard combo for $20 , as long as the scroll wheel clicks they work well. I have Fusion 360 set for fusion 360 controls in the settings and holding down the scroll wheel moves the model view. And holding shift and clicking the scroll wheel orbits around the model. Takes some getting used to but after a bunch of practice it becomes second nature.

      Hey, can you tell me how to get the menu that appears on the left back? When I create a new box now I get a shortened version of the menu without the options for mirror and the rest. It only lets me chose the type of box, (centered or 2 point), direction, and operation. I don't have the rest of the menu items like you do.

      @RevampedOutdoors  5 років тому

      Not sure I understand what you mean. Are you in the sculpting environment or the modeling environment. In the left most of the menu is it on sculpt or model? That can effect how the menus display for sketches.

    Is freeform the best way to make a swim bait in fusion 360? I saw the other video where you can sculpt it after exporting it. Swim baits look hard lol.

    • @RevampedOutdoors
      @RevampedOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      Depends on what you're most comfortable with, I like to do a parametric model for everything now, making a body with cross sections. I used to use free form, but I like being able to modify and God backwards in a design if I chose to. Sculpting seems a bit harder to back track if need be.

      @@RevampedOutdoors do you have a video on how you do this?

    • @RevampedOutdoors
      @RevampedOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      I don't have one specifically on swim baits because I haven't done one in a long time but I use the same concept for the body and shape on swimbaits that I did on the musky popper I designed awhile ago. I used techniques that sthone(aka. never ending project list) uses. It might help.

      I suppose that's something we could design on a live stream, no problem! I'll put it on the video list.
