I’ve had the neo 3 a year now and I really like it. Took a while to get used to as it’s a bigger bike than I was used to. I’ve changed a few parts such as the crank arms, rear mech and headset
@gravydavie I can get it in the UK for £2895 which is a great deal compared to alot of bikes out there, but the 2023 cube stereo hybrid slx 750 is priced at £3350. Think it all depends on which looks best as spec on both look very good 🤷
I just saw it in Cannondalle website for 3,375. Being doing MTB riding for some time. Would this still be good for a first EMTB? Bike only two years old.
Beware: Read Cannondale’s fine print in their Limited Warranty Policy. They may use it against you for their best interest. My $5000.000 carbon fiber frame Jekyll broke after six years of use. Cannondale never made a finding that it was due to use or abuse. A hairline crack formed at a weak point in the frame. The bike was sold to me with a lifetime warranty on the frame. The best offer Cannondale gave me, under their lifetime warranty, was 20% off of retail - yes, that's right 20% off of retail. I fought them on it over a two month period and lost. So, I am now stuck with a 34lb paperweight. Cannondale has what I feel is the worse warranty in the bike business. If you do purchase a Cannondale bike and something goes wrong, know that they probably will not work with you at any level in your best interest. In my opinion, Cannondale does not value you as a customer, they only value your money. This has been my experience.
Great review! I too had not heard of this emtb until recently. I demo’d the new 2022 RM Instinct Powerplay and put it on my yt channel if you’re interested. Great bike. But now I want to get my hands (and legs!) on this Moterra for a whirl. Cheers!
Send it bro. You know I used to love Cannondale in the 80’s and then the lefty fork came out and my passion died for the brand. I think this bike is pretty sick.
@@notsophantommenace its a really good bike. The only thing i didnt like on mine was the rear hub - the engagement was just too large - the pedal could go a bit to far for my liking before the wheel rotated so I changed up to a set of halo vortex and superdrive hub and the problem went away 😊 i also changed to zebs on the front as i had a pair . Ive also made a 3d printed mount and the kiox is now on the mounts on the toptube 👍. Bike park wales next for a good autumn thrashing sesh!!
@@MrMuftwub So you have to modify a $5000 bike? You're not a well man. And neither is anyone else dumb enough to spend this kind of dough on an ebike. Peddling can be learned in half an hour Einstein.
Great review!! I just ordered one off the back of your recommendation for £3750 in the UK. I think its an awesome deal. Was also considering the Giant Trance E +2 but the bosch system and battery along with the finishing kit spec swung it for me. Keep up the good work 🙂
@@mattwilson1126 thats awesome mate. I put mine through my company too. Just put some new nukeproof pedals and ODI grips on her. Also switched to tubless set up which is brilliant. Which colour did you go for?
The rating system is broken if you ask me. Purely paper stats and price for performance. I guarantee the Giant Trance E+ 2 would shred this bike and the Rocky Mountain on the trails but on this rating system it falls behind. People want to know how they ride. Anyone can google the specs…
I was looking at the trek or the Cannondale… trek’s price is a put off if compared to the Cannondale. But the geometry of the frame is what I’m looking at now
Can someone tell me if ebike manufacturers provide batteries once they die , or in general can you rebuild them ? I don't want to spend $5000 - $7000 and only use the bike for 3-4 years 😕
@@adrianTNT there are a few instances where bike brands do develop their own battery so I would check with the brand. But most brands do sell replacement batteries. Batteries are often developed by motor companies together with the motor and brands are giving schematics to develop the battery and motor to fit in frame. I would suggest buying from reputable and bigger brands because they use top notch systems like Bosch. Which often have readily available spare batteries for sale. I would stay away from unbranded Chinese brands since you’ll have a lot of issues trying to find customer service.

When you do a review like this, have you actually ridden the bike or are you just going off specs/videos that you've seen?
This is now $3,999 at REI 🤯
Anyone know the weight of this bike? I
It’s approx 50 LB or 23kg
The Moterra 3 is only 4K now. Great bang for the buck.
Nice video. I like how you rank the bikes and the way you explain the ratings. Good job.
Thank you!🙏
Ordered today after much debate between this one, Cube and Giant… should have it in 10 days 😊. Thanks for the video
Nice one! congrats! enjoy the ew bike day! stoked!!!
Omg I'm in the same boat, I'm looking at the giant trance, cube stereo hybrid 750 or this cannondale Moterra Neo 3 🤔 which would you recommend?

I like your rating system - thorough and informative. I might be sold on this bike - REI has it clearance priced at $4999 ! !
That is a great discount! lots of great prices on 2022 bikes..

Just purchased mine new carryover for $3898
whatcha think being a month in?
I like trhe fluffy pineapple on the shelf. Another vote for Bosch.
haha! We need to give it a name
Great comparison. Never heard of this bike until now. Rocky Mountain is still my favorite.
They have got some great parts included on this bike. I have to get a test ride in for the Rocky Mountain soon

But surely the riding experience is subjective, what one person finds a good ride another won't.
I cant find a review of the Moterra Neo LT anywhere, you think this is a close enough comparison to get an idea of how the LT rides?
I won’t be able to tell you how the LT handles. I’ll dig around to see if there are any ride reviews

Isn't the Moterra 3 alum? Was it carbon in 2022?
Is this faster than a muscolar bike like lab71?

Those that can afford to pay such a ridiculous price for a bike made in Taiwan, have no concern about the price tag.
