    I just got back into RPGs this year including D&D solo after playing as a kid about 35 years ago. The Dragon Age core rule book also seems to be an awesome system as I recently purchased it. Never played the video games, but started reading the novels to get a better feeling of the world. The core rpg book follows along well. Thanks for all your excellent reviews including this one!

    Faces of Thedas also has 3 new character backgrounds in it - The Dalish Mage, Incarnated Spirit, and Qunari Ben-Hassrath.

      Thanks. I have the AGE system, but this setting was what first got me into TRPG.

    I was a big dragon age fan when the game first came out and I bought all three box sets and the original dungeon master screen upon release. I would definitely like to pick up the core rulebook however, and blood in fereldan.

    Nice to see one of the Age system games getting a good review.

    Dragon Age and the A.G.E. system are among my favorites too. I really like the setting of Thedas. The A.G.E. system runs very well and many of my players in different groups like it. I think A.G.E. and Dragon Age/Thedas work very well together and produce a feel like DA: Origins. I have tried playing using A.G.E. in other settings with more mixed results, however.

    While i wish there were more products for this game we have been spoiled by the quality of those we have been given

    To anyone looking for the adventure from set 1 "The Dalish Curse", instead of buying the set you can download the PDF of it off of the Green Ronin (the game's publisher) website for free.

    After almost 4 months of waiting for my copy, I got my DA core book, but the package was damaged and my book wet and damaged also ... The thing is nobody took responsibility and I was so tired of waiting that I keep it and fixed it the best I could. Still, it's my most precious book, and I love it.

      I went through something similar with the D&D Rules Cyclopedia, it took forever to finally arrive and there was some damage. I love that book too though and I tell myself the damage tells a story.

    Really cool - although I've never played Dragon Age myself.
    I'd love to see more systems beyond D&D, but that's just me (especially OSR hacks).

    I own all of the AGE System games and love everyone of them. I started with fantasy age and titansgrave then went back and got dragon age. Now I own modern age, blue rose, and the expanse too. Like I said love them all. Maybe you should check out the rest

      I may in the future, but for now at least I am happy with Dragon Age. I'm sure they are all equally enjoyable, but funds and space are beginning to become an issue.

    I still want at least the core rules, even though I'll probably never get to play/run with it. One day, when there isn't so much other stuff to get, hopefully.

    I have only the revised book in print but I did bought all other stuff including the boxed sets stuff on pdf back when they became available, don't know if they still are.

    Thanks for your videos! Can the fantasy age rulebook be used with dragon age adventure/campaign books?

    • @DravenSwiftbow
      @DravenSwiftbow  2 роки тому +1

      I want to say yes since the core rules are pretty much the same. Certain versions of the AGE System games have had Stunt lists for each of the Skill Checks you roll, so it may affect the way Dragon Age plays since the Stunts may allow things never really considered when this came out, but overall it shouldn't be too difficult to pull off.
