Reminds me of a upcoming scene near the end of my DnD campaign. The world is a fantasy world, corrupted by a sudden upsurge in technology. The Industrial era lasted all of 5 years, skipping forward to the age of blimps and so on. Technology is unbalanced. Some places have blimps and airships, but no guns, others have mechanical servants and animals, but no understanding of medicine. Horrors of scientific development roam the land, monsters created or enhanced by cruel and mad scholars. The dead brought back to life. Chimeric beings stitched together into perversions of nature. And weapons capable to leaving corpses and their parts strewn at the weilder's feet. In the midst of this the party strive to stop the abbhorent laplace machine, the pinnacle of mortals playing god with the world. A machine that can calculate and manipulate all of reality. Near the end of the campaign, one of their closest friends will die. All hope will be lost. *They thought they had time, now they know it ran out* Then they will find a way to turn back the clock....
It also just matches the over theme of the campaign. The Great Filter. A point where technology becomes so dangerous, our obsession with it is what leads to our extinction.
The reality engine It's a thing I have in my campaign I run, it requires a massive amount of power that an amalgamation of souls can only sustain for short periods, or a single soul for an instant.
Ah if only my players would take the bait. Everyone plays true chaotic neutral. As soon as a tie stop benefitting them, that tie is cut. Working on trying to get them roped into something bigger, but we'll see how that one goes. For now they are just chasing the easiest sources of money. gl with ur campaign.
This just came up on my mix automatically. But damn. It slaps harder than my dad does. But in seriousness the vibe especially in the beginning just. Chef's kiss
I just love this music🎵 I don't know why, but this remind me a lot of Michael Afton. After all his family members died (while he is dead too) he is the only one left and he regrets everything.
I dunno where yo cane from, but you keep popping up on my youtube ,and i mistly avoided it ,but then was fed up ,so i tried one of the songs here, and never regreted it,I was missing out alot
If I were to compare this to one of my works... I think it would fit the Multiverse Chronicles "End of the Line" 'Movie' (it's structured like a movie) Basically the story is one guy brought the dead back alive (including the dead villains of the heroes in this series) And the end is just a stalemate, one guy is fighting something inside himself, one having no choice but fix the Multiverse. The problem hasn't been fixed... only getting worse...
Ok, this one was actually pretty saddening when I canceled Multiverse Chronicles That's why I'm gonna use the best parts of it for my other more doable projects like Rage of Steel

I find it incredibly smart using the instrumental to represent not only the ticking of clocks, but a clock alarm such used in the chorus.
this is the kind of thing I mean when looking for clockwork songs. C'mon music, get with the time...
