Aryan Tari is like a punching bag of Chess World.....Super GM's come and punch him lefft and right till he bleeds to death......and the funny part is that Tari is the second best chess player in Norway.
I mean Tari isn't that highly rated compared to these 2750+ super GM's a hundred or more rating points really shows in games like these. We'd see the same sort of thing if Tari was playing against 2500 rated players that we saw here where he would dismantle them methodically.
What's so funny about it? Norway is a small country. Arguably the greatest player of all time belonging to such a small country is itself a huge thing. Even if we forget about Magnus for a second, it's completely fine for the highest rated player of a small country like Norway to be rated 2650.
@@da96103 Netherland is a small country compare to Norway but they have Max Euwe (formal World Champion) , Anish Giri (Super GM) , Jan Timman (Former top 10 player when kasparov, karpov, anand, Short, Ivanchuk and kramnik were active players) so stop saying that population is directly related to having more quality and top level players. another example is cuba...a country where still chess is not popular and from there the greatest endgame player of all time came CAPABLANCA.
I've always felt like Caruana might be the strongest Classical player alive today, but his rapid play was never very good, and that just lets Carlsen beat him because he's good enough to play Caruana to a draw and beat him in tie-breaks.
Of course, this was a great performance by Fabi. But it really wasn't a "Queen sacrifice" since he automatically got two rooks for the Queen. And without taking anything away from Fabi, the f5+ move (before capturing the rook on e2) was pretty obvious...at least for someone rated 1800 and over!
Agad : this is the first move you thought of but the truth of the position lies in the very next move. Pawn to f6 check. Me: wait, this was the position I thought of
why don't grandmasters blunder the greek gift? I haven't seen a single Magnus or Levon Aronian game where he lost to the greek gift but it is common in advanced level (1800 elo chess)

Your commentary is excellent.
Mentioning that Fabio allowed the check out of courtesy was clever.

Fabi now has won against the Norwegian no 1 and 2 in the classical section of this tournament . 😁
