Mold fogging does not work. They can provide "clean room" samples after a fogging of the home, but the mold is still there. Find out how these companies are tricking you and why your home still has mold.

I got a 1 gallon sample from a supplier and fogged visibly stained mold. Tested before and it was live. Did a swab test 48 hrs later and no CFU were found. It did not remove the stain, but the mold was dead. A tape lift sample from my test showed no mold structures. The enzyme had dissolved them. I traditionally do a standard mold remediation job THEN I fog the areas out side of the containment area. In a video I just watched on NZMOLD, I noticed they gutted their job, looks like they did not do a good cleanup. Bulk clean up was good, but not great. They were using at the time an Air scrubber, but obviously can't tell if they did neg. air during the gutting and bulk tear out and cleanup. Perhaps not all mold remediation companies that fog enzyme are thieves or use trickery. I am proceeding slowly with the use of the enzyme mold killers. I will be retesting every year for a while to see how long tape lifts come back with no growth from known areas that had mold before treatment.

My brother is trying to rent a mold fogger machine from Home Depot the problem is their machine only says mold fogger but when I ask them if it is a cold fogger they were Clueless... I had to call and find out and somebody said that ALL MOLD Foggers happen to be COLD Foggers... by any chance would you know if this is absolutely true ?

Does your enzyme fogging eat the mycotoxins too that cause mold sickness??? What brand do you use?
I am very allergic to mold spores & their mycotoxins. I had a mold remediation co. owned by a friend of a family friend come in and he air sampled posituve light mold spore counts (100p m3) in the house we are renting. There was no visible mold or water anywhere. I was getting very itchy and mold sick from direct air blown from the heating ducts as the weather got colder & began to get very sick.
The mold guys thought the problem was very dirty ducts with mold starting to be a problem blowing through the house when the heat is on. They had their approved duct cleaner/microbe sanitizer guy come in then thet did 4 days of major air scrubbing up & downstairs.. followed by pretty industry standard Benefect fogging (both ducts & house). I find now after that thyme-based Benefect biocide is a non-enzyme only mold killer leaving dead spores & mycotoxins after use.
After they scrubbed & Benefect fogged the spores count has gone down greatly & I am not getty itchy. Unfortunately, I am still feeling quite sick (blood feels like its burning, terribly sore joints, extreme fatigue, etc. Most mold sickness medical experts attribute these symptoms to the mold mycotoxin chemical/gas given off from the mold spores... & that these gas particle are to small for Hepa scrubbers to catch.. leaving the mycotoxins still in the indoor invironment.

Additionally, if you previously lived in a toxic mold environment but are out now, regular fogging can prevent your current living space from becoming cross contaminated with mold spores from your old environment.

By the time that you see mold what you're seeing is the bloom, that is to say the molds roots have already grown throughout the material and if it is beginning to spread through a reproductive cycle. It is true that many herbicides will kill mold but it will not remove the contaminant. In order to remove the contaminant that which causes health issues and illness you have to remove the material contains the contaminant. In order to identify whether a material needs to be removed due to mold embedding material or not you should contact a mold remediation expert or take some classes with a company such as normi ( National Organization of remediators and mold inspectors ) or another qualified source.

I agree if the ducts are not vacuumed out, but if you have done that..plus fogged, all the mold in the AHU and Duct system would be cleaned and and can be proven by retatakeing sample test wich can add into the overall cost. Would you agree with that?

I only bought one type of mold fogger and it never stated that it removed it. Its supposed to kill fungi, viruses and bacteria. Obviously there will need to be cleaning of the dead mold. Why anyone would think it would just magically make the mold disappear sounds more like a customer not fully understanding the product. Not necessarily being mislead. But I can see how you would say something considering you apparently run a mold remediation company that probably charges thousands of dollars more than a $30 fogger

Regardless of his delivery, which is flat, this guy is absolutely correct. There is nothing that can be sprayed or fogged that can destroy matter. What happened to the mold spores? Perhaps nothing, or perhaps they simply became smaller fragments, but they are still allergens. IICRC S-520 simply states that mold is to be removed, not covered, encapsulated, sprayed, etc. It's like spraying/fogging the dust in your home instead of simply vacuuming/damp wiping it away. Mold is actually very simple. Control the moisture and remove the spores and non-salvageable materials it's growing on. You won't find an industrial hygienist that will sign off on this. It's your money though, it's just intellectually dishonest, IMO.

This video is 100% wrong. He needs a class in mold asap. Especially if his only argument is you can still see the mold. Yes it should physically be removed. However bleached mold doesn't mean dead mold.

This guy😂 buddy you are straight up hating to hate. Don't discourage people from using a professional company that go to school for mold remediation. From using their insurance or paying for the remediation of mold. You might get the small company hat trick, but it's up to the consumer to go with the right company. Any licensed remediater generally uses a third party tester to assure the job has been done correctly. What do you stand to gain by stating that mold and water damage remediaters are scam artists?? You feel as though your white collar job puts you above a trade expert. I dgaf about what you know about mold. Your generalized idea about mold remediaters is complete bogus😂 never worked a trade job in your life I assume and are one of "Those" to work for.
