An infant lacks Ego. After falling they immediately look at a parent to see how they should respond. LOL. As adults, after decades of a sense of self, we relinquish control to our Egos. Being controlled by an illusion only causes needless suffering. May you find your inner child. Peace.
When you said it could be a sword, it reminded me of one of the most memorable lines for me from emptiness dancing .... "the mind starts to think it’s being handed candy when it’s not. It’s being handed a sword."
@@VeritableVagabond you know what, I'm removing my unneeded comment. Honestly I'm no source of anything to be able to tell anyone a correct interpretation of anything and only have my opinions... a more honest way of saying it would have been.. the way I see certain verses (and life in general) is constantly being reshaped. I find I can't hold onto anything too tightly. My apologies, I still have a bad habit thinking I know things 😂.
This is almost literally the question I got out of bed with today's morning. Was trying to look into why this divided perspective of "me versus them" keeps re-asserting itself so powerfully, seemingly out of nothing, each time I have to communicate with other people. I can even notice quite clearly how this re-assertion happens, but it still happens. And then I go to your new video and hear you pointing to shadow, personas, and unconditional love ) And it pretty much feels like "of course, how could this be anything but the exact thing I needed to hear" :) Thank you 🙏
Cool to hear you referencing Paul. I attended one of his satsangs here in Dublin, a few years back, and he sent a nuclear missile into the idea of me, the effects of which are still reverberating. I am very grateful for your videos, Angelo. You are helping me so much. Thank you.

@@dylanevartt3219 Awesome! I got into the band when I was a teen. Danny Carey is brilliant. Musically, I love what they do. I have a feeling either H, or Sober may be the very first Tool tune I ever heard. It's one of those. H is my personal fave tune of theirs. I think I read or heard somewhere that Maynard wrote the lyrics about his newly born son. It's very Jungian. Its all about the dark shadow. Other tunes: Forty Six & 2, The Patient, Reflection, 10 000 Days (Wings, Pt 2), Right in Two, Pneuma... Also, check out the first 2 A Perfect Circle albums: Mer Der Noms ("Orestes"), and Thirteenth Step ("The Outsider", "Gravity") which remind me lyrically of "H" :)
@@dylanevartt3219 P.S. I would recommend their album Lateralus, in its entirety, to anyone wanting to get into their stuff. I remember listening to that album everyday when I was in my early 20s. It will forever be my favourite Tool album :)
@nat998 I've been going through their music quite obsessively over the last 2 months or so. It's insane how many great songs they have. I don't know every song off every album yet or anything, but I've gone through a lot of it. Lateralus is definitely my favorite. Parabol(a) is probably my favorite song. The lyrics, the atmosphere, just perfect.
Crimany Crickets 🦗 so thankful for this/these videos. This one in particular resonates so deeply it requires many watches in a row to digest what’s being transmitted. It’s all been so conceptual these last 8 years ish. Slowly (which I appreciate) I’m having my hand held into infinity

Thank you for this video. This week has been particularly trying as I'm working on removing a porn addiction from my life. This week I've felt particularly tempted. In December, while meditating, I had the strongest message of needing to remove porn from my life, as it numbs my experience. The flood of dopamine turns the volume of life down for a few days, things that once bothered me don't anymore and I check out, until the next viewing. Day 68 now and it's still a struggle, it has me wondering where these addictive thoughts come from? How can there be two parts of my brain, the one that says I need to watch these pornographic videos, and the one that says "no"? It's not easy but I've decided to be open about this struggle to ensure there's no place for the addiction to hide.
Awesome and congrats! One thing you can always investigate about any addictive behaviors, is watch the moment an urge comes. Like you're going bout usual business then the first inkling you have that you're tempted to do xyz behavior. What actually prompts you to recognize that, then what is your reaction to that prompt? Meaning what are the competing agendas, beliefs and emotions that go into "I want to but I also don't want to." This can be a very interesting exercise. But certainly no need to look into it that way. Sounds like you are doing well with it :)
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake "But certainly no need to look into it that way." Actually, asking questions when those addictions arise has been my way of also quelling them. These videos have inspired me to take that approach, to step back and inspect. It's helped....change the perspective hehehe. No real reality shift yet, but everyday is practice. Thank you for continuing to produce these videos.
This is very timely for me.. I'm aware of my resistance like I open the the door alittle to see what's there and slowly close it and say o.k that's a start...I still don't get how I can be say the same as a car...I do feel a tree though natural objects...on a side note...two sets of #'s came up today 333,and 8888. Never had that happen before any significance ?
You only had to mention one word in my last comment which lit a fuse, followed it in so close and deep that anger arose. Oh hello anger where did you come from, nice to see you anger, how long have you been here, anger slipped away. fear arose,. Hello fear, good to see you, it’s all good you can be scared, nothing to be fearful of. Laughter arose, oh geez I’m talking to myself like I’m 2. 😂😂 Ego” what the hell is so funny.
I've engaged the shadow by shitpoasting indiscriminately. Online, offline, with friends, family, strangers... Can assure you nothing sublime about mom's wrath, despised and avoided by some etc. 😅😂 Highly unrecommended.

Love hearing tool lyrics in a spiritual video.
Ohhhh WOW!!! May we find our capacity
Without the skin
Beneath the storm
Under these tears
The walls came down
And the snake is drowned and
As I look in his eyes
My fear begins to fade
Recalling all of those times
I could have cried then
I should have cried then
And as the walls come down and
As I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade
Recalling all of the times
I have died
And will die
It's all right
I don't mind
