Check out my old Harpers Ferry layout vids. It is my goal to have my layout look like the prototype locations as best as I can given the space and scale limitations of O scale. That said I also wont let perfection be the enemy of progress. Glad to have a fan of the area aboard. Let me know what scene/train you'd like for me to recreate and I'll try to make a vid.
Thanks for your support. The extension really makes for a good long run around the double track main and it will have a decent sized yard. I'm experimenting with making backdrops from Google streetview pics of Cumberland. Will make a vid when I'm done
Thanks, now the trick is to get my watch hours up to UA-cams threshold so I can make a little coin from video ads. I appreciate your support. Let me know what you'd like to see (Modern, Steam, Freight, Passenger). They are all in boxes waiting their turn to run.
I seen some of your vids and I appreciate your support. I've got lots of scenery work to do now so stay tuned. Might preorder a B&O mountain so I need to get the layout lookin good for when it arrives.
@99thObsidian yes, we love trains and cameras. We need a lot more camera experience, will likely post some camera stuff on my old file1man channel soon.
John, thanks for your support. They say "If you build it, they will come." What they fail to tell us is that the work (& cost) required to build a bigger layout increase exponentially with size. That said I'm looking forward to running multiple trains on longer mainlines. If you'd like me to do a vid on a particular train topic, let me know.
@@99thObsidian How true. This is how our hobby works, cost-wise and I certainly understand about the cost of expansion. I just went from a 12x14 L to a 24x18 L. Going from O72 to a mix of O72 and O96 and adding a third main, added some extra cost. Fortunately, I already had the OSB, 2x4's and the track for the expansion. It is a little more straight-forward, running-wise, than yours. I'm a big passenger train guy, so that is mostly what I run. Any videos that involve passenger trains are always good, in my book. Keep up the great work.
Well... if I was truly disciplined then I'd not only just run B&O, C&O, Chessie & WM but I'd only run steam to diesel timeframe. While I collect primarily VA RR like C&O, Virginian, N&W, I do have a Blue Comet and NYC 20th Century Limited. I've seen a wide variety of modern diesels run through Harpers Ferry from CSX, UP to CN. I like steam since we don't get to see the prototypes anymore. One goal of the layout was to model actual places along the B&O.
@@oscarso-gaugetrains I’ve already been enjoying just sitting in the middle of the layout running 3 trains around. Please let me know what you want to see/discussed. I’m excited about the future of the layout and blessed to have great subscribers like you.

@@MarkWick Mark, I super appreciate your kind words and subscription. Welcome aboard, I assure you you’ll enjoy the journey. Now that I have 1k subs UA-cam wants me to have twice as many ‘watch hours’. Guess that means I’ll be shooting more vids. I’ve made lots of ‘grief’ train purchases over the last year that I need to review & run. So stay tuned.
Yes, fun is the reward for hours of work. I enjoy sharing with my channel subscribers. Once scenery is to a presentable level then I hope to invite some of the neighbors kids to come see a running session. Thanks for the positive comment.
Big fan of Harpers Ferry and Point of Rocks so hope it goes well

All backdrops were made from enlarged photos from Harpers Ferry and Cumberland. Need to visit Point of Rocks to experiment with pano shots.

Congratulations on the one thousand subs. It will be interesting to watch as you move along with the extension. An excellent video, as always.
