Individual variability in drug response: looking forward

Past President of the British Pharmaacological Society, Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed, discusses pharmacogenomics / pharmacogenetics (PGx) and why it is important that it is embedded into the National Health Service (NHS). This includes safe prescribing, preventing medication errors, reducing adverse side effects to medicines, saving the NHS money, reducing medicines wastage and making healthcare more inclusive.
