I have studied parapsychology as a hobby for years, and there really is no credible evidence for paranormal phenomena, although some of the studies can be fun to do, and great questions are bought up by it. I cannot say it does not exist, but the lack of evidence, makes it very unlikely to exist in the first place.
+KevZen2000 i just started looking into the topic, i'm still trying to see what there is to it, if there's anything, do you mind giving me some of the things you've looked into
+Justin Romeo 1. There really is nothing to it, which is why there has been no major progress in over 100+ years this phenomena has been studied. This is why it is a hobby of mine. 2. www.skeptiko.com/, has some good podcast on it, even though about 60% of them are not credible, in regards to science. 3. You can use Meetup.com or places to meetup with people, and search for paranormal or paranormal subjects, if you are interested in this.
thanks, i appreciate the information, hopefully i can find something somewhat credible in it, though based on what you said i wont get my hopes up to much
Has anyone recorded Professor French on SKY News the other day? After Cameron's "Britain is a Christian Country". It was very Good. Very Impressed. Met Prof in Skeptics in the Pub, Portsmouth.
If it involves the scientific method method, then logically its science. And 'para' just means outside of usual psychology, doesnt mean at all that its not psychology.
Yes well suppose thats right as well.. what exactly do we mean by 'usual'.. really just what is identified as the regular case of something.. but then again theres going to be usual qualities in things considered usual.. so where do you start,,, In a sense we've become tongue tied in greek logic and this has messed up a lot of academia in terms of misidentifying phenomena on somehow irrational grounds. but yeh, wen you think about in metaphysical avenues, what is outside of perceived reality cant really be considered reality.. so what then is outside meant to mean..haha
_anyone truly interested in the genuine study of parapsychology, or all physical sciences, for that matter, is wise to delve as deeply as possible into the reciprocal systems theory of space and time by Dewey b Larson. Without a correct reference frame for making your measurements, that is to say space and time, the nature of which has been wholesale misunderstood by modern science, you will run into all kinds of anomalies; with a correct reference frame they vanish. To wit time is actually three-dimensional, being the reciprocal of space. Brace yourself. What you call matter is actually time. It is made of time._
Prof Chris French is just about one of the fairest Skeptics there are, I thought he conducted himself particularly well in the TV series Haunted Homes, the alleged Psychic Mia Dolan tried to shut him down on a couple of occasions when he was making...or should I say TRYING to make what were some important points regarding how what was going on was being interpreted. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I dislike Mia Dolan, she's a very likeable lady in terms of her personality and an incredibly attractive one for her age too but the things she believes in require a lot of suspension of disbelief and so anyone who speaks up and asks questions is seen by her as "the enemy", if you know what I mean, she tolerates Skeptics like Chris, rather than welcomes them, like others who believe in the Paranormal etc, she makes extraordinary claims but fails to provide the extraordinary evidence to back them up. The only time in all of that Haunted Homes series that anything happened that could be even remotely called "evidence of supernatural activity" is when some small figure of Buddha seemed to be thrown by some invisible force from a bedroom to the passage, Chris admitted he was stumped by that one. There appeared to be nobody else in the room at the time that might have thrown it, so I guess it remains a mystery to this day, the problem is that if a home really did have these invisible forces like Poltergeists etc, one would think that there would be a lot more than that getting caught on camera. Sometimes things just happen that can't be explained currently or ever will be, it's not enough though to conclude..."oh well....can't explain this one so it must be ghosts"...uh...I'm afraid we need a bit more than that before we can even begin to entertain this extraordinary, world view changing notion Lol, many thanks.
for example scientific studies on astrology concentrate on individual's personality and questions asked to individuals- the best test for astrology is in interactions and compatibility between people- and by the way, Chinese Astrology is 100% correct- while Western Astrology is less accurate

+Justin Romeo You can use the book introduction to parapsychology for a good begin with hood references.

I just knew he was going to use the pendulum analogy! 😄

Whether or not any humans have attained these powers, some extra terrestrial beings have risen to this level of life.

fallacy of ambiguity. The method used in Parapsychology maybe scientific, the claims and the Hypotheses are not.
It is both funny and sad to see someone try so hard but fail to escape his indoctrination.

this guy is a mainstream typical narrow-minded scientist- come on man, astrology parapsychology and many so-called pseudosciences are true-
no they are not
@@MrRaulstrnad yes they are
It's certainly a part of the science of psychology as something people believe to be true.
@@MrRaulstrnadThey are 100% true
i think i can falsify the continental drift theory.
