I have to say that this is my favorite video.,....why, well since I am very new to beading and I have been to COUNTLESS websites to find a tutorial that I can understand. You are THE BEST teacher, your southern hospitality shines through with every video you do. I have made a few bracelets, one I made for my daughter she never takes it off...lol I am currenlty makeing a bracelet, necklace and earrings set using this stitch....I will try and post a pic when finished........THANK YOU!!!!!!!
You are definitely a "Natural" teacher created to teach others! Where I have difficulty picking stitches up you explain and exhibit in a way that I understand and feel successful with! You make me believe I can! So happy and grateful to have found such a rare Gem such as yourself! Truly blessed and talented you are! Thanks so very much for all you give of yourself to the rest of us!
O my goodness I did it I'm so so so happy I've been tring to do this stitch forever it feels like thank you Kelly you the Best !
Thank you Kelly. I'm so glad you decided to do this ! Just what I was looking for.
Ah-ha! Thank you! That clears a lot up! Very helpful. I've only done odd count peyote ( with 2 needles ) so I'm struggling ... But I get it now.. Thank you,
thank you :) im 12 and now i can peyote stich : D
Thank you miss Kelly I have other vids ,books, diagrams -----nearly--till yours ....I have it !
I got the book. Second hand in excellent condition from Barnes and Noble on-line!
Excellent teacher!
this is a great video for a beginner, Now I need to figure out how to make it larger to smaller ( like into a point) trial and error time. LOL Thank You!
@desifai1 They make two types of fireline..one for fishing and one for beading. I use the beading kind.
Love the video. I may not be successful at this stitch because I am going to use round seed beads BUT only because I am not going out to buy more beads to sit in a drawer so wish me luck.
You can use any type of seed bead, honestly. Round, hex, square, even triangle. Rounds are actually the easiest to work with.
I'm not sure that you would want to use fireline for perler or pony beads. You will want to use a thicker thread or cotton cording for those.
Wow. That was very helpful! I couldnt understand this from my beading book or other vids. Thanks! I wanted to know if I can use this kind of stitch to make a belt?
I was wondering what the thing is your setting your stuff on that you stick your needle in? I really could use one?
It's a bead mat. Available pretty much everyone online that sells beads and they can be found at almost any craft store as well. You can also make your own with fleece, thin foam (just cut out a small square), or cork (rolled cork has to be flattened, but you can usually find cork "squares" in the home decor department of many "box" stores (Walmart, Target, etc.).
Can u do an odd video of this please
What kind of fireline would be good for perler beads? What kind for pony beads? I don't understand the sizing on their websites.
Fireline fishing thread?
