Cool list! RAAS is quite evocative. I'll have to look into it. I've played Australis, and while I would still suggest its worth a play, "medium" is very generous. I would put it in that family+ range. I love the dice battling, but I find the game offers to many "not decisions" decisions. Still I was thrilled to give it a go
There are 4 games I'm really excited for in 2025 that are not available where I live yet. (At least not widely available yet. I think I could order #2 from a very small number of retailers. But the others are only available as pre-orders.) 1. Ovation. A card based engine building game where you play as famous composers trying to put on performances. 2. Diatoms. An abstract (but based on a real from of art) tile laying game where the tiles are different colors and shapes. 3. Galileo Galilei. A rondel action selection game where you collect cards of different night sky observations, like constellations. 4. Valheim. A co-op survival and boss battling game that's based on the video game. This one I'm extra excited for since I'm an ALL-IN backer. Just gotta keep my fingers crossed it actually ships when they say they are hoping to: October.
The other list is of games he has already played that come out this year. This list is games he hasn't played but is excited for that come out this year.
Oh I actually explained that in the video! Most anticipated for me is ones I've played and covered in prototype form but now are releasing, while hyped games are ones I haven't played and I'm excited about in theory
I like your videos, but I gotta say : you say "sort of stuff like that" A LOT! You say it in a variety of combinations, but still! No harm no foul, just something I notice everytime I watch your videos and had to comment on it
I know, I'm super annoyed by it. I've been noticing it when I'm editing videos. I don't use a script or anything in these videos, and it's clearly something I say when I don't know what else to say
@@GrantLyon it works for me. You must be a fantastic editor to put this together without a script. You have very good pacing and a great, goldilocks, level of information. Plus a delightful sense of humor and delivery 😁
Thanks Grant, definitely checking out RAAS and Crafting the Cosmos (I'm a sucker for table presence as well) and maybe also a bunch of the others!
Those two definitely have a lot of table presence!
Thank you so much for mentioning House of Fado! We are excited about it as well!!
It looks so good!
Thank you for having Raas: A Dance of Love on your list of anticipation. It won't disappoint for sure 😊. Gen Con cannot come soon enough 😊
I'm really excited to try it!
Raas is so good!

Having never played a mid-weight Vital Lacerda game, you’ve got me excited to try out House of Fado.
I hope it's great!
I've been waiting for RAAS for so long. I can't wait!
Awesome!
Love your research and selection.
Thank you!

Nice! But, wait, how is this different than you most anticipated list from 2 days ago??
