It can over time. It depends on where the wood is on the handle and if you can cut the kydex to where it doesn't make contact, but still retains the handle.

As a kydex bender, im hoping you were in a well ventilated area and using your home oven isnt the best because toxic fumes are letgo with Kydex when heated and dremeled.
