My girl owns an Ultra 2 which I bought for her and it is one of our favorite non-modified blaster in our collection. Also, we are planning convert it to shoot Elite darts and reach an average of 160 fps but it will cost us USD 80. Do you think its worth it? Btw, Great content man! 💯
Thanks! I mean, that’s pricey, but those are high FPS numbers. I love my elite firing blaster more than any other, so… I guess I think it’s a good idea?! Haha
Always loved the ultra 2 loading thing and form factor (reminds me of the ULTRAKILL default pistol, might paint it one of the brighter ULTRAKILL pistol presets), but I only really nerf with my buddies occasionally when they come over, and it didn't seem worth it buying some weird ammo that I'm just gonna lose. Never modded a blaster, but this one is probably going to be my first, cause it's awesome! i'm planning on doing the cage and cylinder, anything I should know?
I've been looking for a mega sidearm for HvZ for ages, but I don't like any of the stock options. I've also had an old Ultra 2 collecting dust because of the terrible stock darts. I'm absolutely printing the Mega cage ASAP, this looks great.
Do you get the same terrible results with the accudarts? Btw thanks so much for leading me here. I had no idea you praised the Ultra 2 while others didn't. I knew I was making a good buy! It reminds me of a pistol from an old video game. Some kind of vampire hunter game. I absolutely love the look.
It was more of a misaligned flywheel problem than a dart problem sadly, look down the barrel of yours, and see if the dart lines up with the wheels - SOME did. Most did not. Oh yeah the look and loading mechanism is awesome!
I don't usually buy battery blasters as I hate the noise they make, but I did buy the Ultra 2 for the loading mechanism, and was incredibly disappointed that Nerf managed to screw it up with the flywheels out of line. That is unforgivably sloppy from the supposed market leader. I don't even like to use it as I worry it's damaging the 50c a piece darts that can't hit a barn door. I may get that elite mod pack - or just toss the thing in the trash and save myself the money and fuss.
Yup. Agree. But, I love it modded to elites, so I am glad it exists I guess? :) My stock one is practically unusable with the vibration of the cage and the accuracy. It's crazy. I think I am going to convert my other one eventually and LIPO it.
Those mods are awesome. My deep dark secret is i love all the Ultra blasters. The 2 is a favorite too

It’s awesome: use lots of oil to lubricate the rotating parts!

How did gou get the flywheels off the motors to transfer them to the new cage
Nylon prys- equal pressure on each side of the wheel, it’s a pain for sure
Hi,does the stock flywheel assembly fire elite darts great? Or do you need a custom cage?
It does need a custom cage, motors and AA works well though. Stock cage keeps the flywheels too wide for elites. I recommend GazzinFuzzy Customs cage!
