I've managed 3 footers, yet to hit a 40 inch pike though...they live in the mountain lakes up here (and unfortunately escaped in a few rivers), I've gotta get back up there to fish more. Something I've also prepped my own lures for, but never actually tried and need to (and you ought to if you get the chance): flyfishing for pike. It's explosive.
