All the way from HL 1 to HL :Alyx is just amazing. Sometimes I play HL1 or the triology and the nostalgia is just to high to even continue playing. Its more than a game, its memory
it's more than a memory.. It's a masterpiece! First time I completed hl2 and episodes was this summer and even though the game is like 17 years old now, it is now my favorite game series ever
This looks absolutely amazing, it's awesome to see the HLA environments outside of VR with beautiful post processing and camera movements! Some of these shots would be amazing as desktop wallpapers that's for sure!
This song is amazing, pure nostalgia for me. Brings me back memories from 2004~2007, experimenting so many HL2 mods and custom maps, trying to build my own maps and mods, messing around with console commands... Too many feelings come a once. Plus, all these scenes, ironically, they make me feel I'm in a comfortable place (even though game's atmosphere is pure chaos) Great work, sir
These shorts show my favorite part of Half Life Not riding cars and airboats, taking down the citadel, or something super big. It’s the slice of life parts that show how far society has fell and that’s shown so much in Half Life Alyx. There’s so much personality in every room that make you think of everyone’s different stories and experiences. Everything in these videos are just so wonderful and I thank you for that.
The way this is done reminds me a lot of Gears of War Mad World trailer. The way the stark oppressive world is shown as a place where its inhabitants are fighting an uphill battle just to survive is both inspiring and depressing. The depiction of struggle from Mad World reminds me of the our humanity. And it's awesome to see this evoke the same kind of feeling, awesome job on all the Half-Life short films you guys have done!
Glad I'm not the only one who got the feeling. The Gears of War series is my favorite franchise of all time and stuff like this is always appreciated in my eyes.

1:06 on the left you can see the nihilant, and below him several vortigaunts that seem connected to him. going slighly to the right you can see the giant headcrab with a sack on his belly. In the middle that dude is clearly Freeman with a crowbar. on the right you can see the floating aliens with a giant head you fight in half life 1. you can even see that the giant headcrab is spawning smaller headcrabs from his sack on the right you can also see those weird dogs that damage you with their shockwave

Imagine that Ending Triumph starts after Triage At Dawn ends and we get a montage like a intro to a TV show that shows the events at Black Mesa, Xen and the events of Half-Life 2.
This song and the visual work you have done make me feel so emotional almost to the point of tears. I could almost smell the wet concrete, the smudges of rust on Combine armour pads, the smoke and dust... I can almost hear the pigeons flying away, never finding rest in a safe place. I have to remind myself that I am not in the Half Life universe and then immediately after that my thoughts jump to what it would be like to experience the weight of the Combine and creatures of that place. Paired with the music in the background, and how dynamic the shots are, It is amazing. The tracking shot of the Manhack at 1:19, with the melancholy break of the piano is my favorite. Forces me to try and think of another visual that is similar, but then I realize your video is the only one. The works of art you have created are so awe inspiring that I have to come back and re watch just to experience them again. Definitely a great remedy for writers block. Keep up the great work.
I feel like triage at dawn is the one and only song in half-life that truly depicts the situation in which humanity resides in this timeline. all the other original hl2 songs are alright and the remix of this song is especially good, this animation only supplements the emotion that his song translates.

This one A tape from city 17 Consequences Half Life will always be in my heart. I still remember the time i read Laidlaw' s epistle 3 in 2017. It was not what i wanted but at least it was closure after all those time. Luckily i stumbled upon this channel late at night and had the same sad comfort i had back then. Just look at the quality of work and details to see the effort given for a game video. Look at how Valve News Network guy cried at the end of Alyx. Then have a look at the Triage at Dawn synthwave wallpaper i keep at desktop in the year 2021. Fat Gaben broke our poor minds.

All it took was 1 man 1 freeman to take it all down. the destruction of the citadel, Nova prospket and the uprising of humanity was for only this human. who took down so much and tried to save everyone trying to redeem that day....finally we saw the last of him in rage looking at eli vance who tries to find alyx helpless.... we dont know what happened to him....we need to wait..

There’s no way valve can’t continue the story after this. They have to. I can’t wait another 15 years for a sequel, it’s already established and this is a brilliant game. I am so excited for half life 3, of course in regular mouse and keyboard fashion. This is why it’s a spin-off because it’s vr but it NEEDS to come out. There’s no way they aren’t working on half life 3 after Alyx. Even if it came out 3 years ago, I’m still going to wait patiently even if those 3 years turn to 5, then 10. It will come out and I expect it to. Not hope anymore. EXPECT.
Mouse and keyboard would be a huge step backwards. I have zero interest in playing such a game like this. Half Life games always showcase some technological breakthrough. My guess is HL3 will launch with the index2.
ya ever heard of "valve time" yeah, expect a sequel in 10-15 years. valve wants to innovate with every new game release, half life 1 being one of the first shooters that play well, half life 2 having a, to this day, incredible physics system, and, obviously, half life alyx being in vr. unless valve comes up with something revolutionary in the next few years, i don't think anything's coming out, oh yeah! and also, they are currently working on a multiplayer moba, which they will be allocating 100% of their rescources to.. and they are also still developing cs2. kinda gloomy now that i reread everything lol. anyway yeah, no sequel.
That "little bit of time" basically costed many of HL fans' lives. These people died waiting without even knowing about the release of Alyx. Gotta be the dirty work of G-man.
Most people don't understand the real reason why Triage at Dawn was actually played at Winston being hit, it is actually played because Freeman has reunited with the rebels after the loneliness of Ravenholm and "losing" Grigori, most people will say "Well what about Black Mesa???" He had 20 years to mourn, but Ravenholm prob reminded him of Black Mesa as well.
