Awesome work, Espen! Beautiful hide, that extension for the legs is genius!
Thanks very much Stefano! Yes, it's a comfortable hide with the additional room :)
So great Espen! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Lisa!
I must put one of these hides on my xmas list. Great images Espen. Greg
Hope you've been good ;)
Seems like a nice bit of kit, can't make my mind up about the camo though, seems a little gaudy, but i'm sure the birds don't bother. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks John! I think the camo works in a lot of different environments. Worked really well in the grasses and reeds here and a month ago I had it in amongst bracken and birch where in blended in nicely as well.
Great review Espen. Looking forward to your next review.
Thank you very much Miguel!
Just got my V6 today! Can't wait to get out in the field and use it! What are you using for a floor in your V6? Really enjoy your videos just subscribed!
Have you tried the new Grouse V+ yet? Can't decide between getting one of them and the Hokki V2 so I have normal and low level hides covered or getting the V6 with the extra room and have both in one but in a bit bigger package. The V6 does look very good and leaning that way more I think.
Hi Dave, I haven't tried the new Grouse V+ no, but size it's similar to the old V+. The V+ and Hokki are both lightweight and well adapted for their purpose. Though the V6 is very versatile and with the additional room makes it comfortable enough to sleep in. You can always leave behind additional features of the V6 when you know what you're using it for to save on weight.
SuperTragopan I just received the Grouse V+ and the Hokkie, they are both very good, versatile and well made. I’m really happy with both but might still get myself a V6 as I’ve got a place where I could leave it in place for a while but really wish the camouflage was the same as the Hokkie. I’m sure it makes no difference to the wildlife but the new stuff looks a bit cartoonish and a little bright.
How much less portable is the v6 (with the attachment for legs at ground level) versus the hokki?
Clay Guthrie sorry for missing this. Weight difference is about 2.65kg for Hokki and V6 with additional room is about 4.3kg. So a bit heavier and bigger, but gives you a comfortable hide to sleep in if you need it for that.
