This looks like the perfect SUV for all the Canadian super villiams during the cold winter!
I am not an SUV guy but I absolutely love this! And I do think the 2-door Bronco looks great too.

This is a future classic. They will be super sought after in the future.
I dont know man I live in Dusseldorf/Cologne where people have money and I dont even see these Defender in the streets.
They will become obsolete as soon as the next model comes. There is nothing special about this big pile of soon to be scrap metal and plastic. It excels at nothing. It's a joke off road, it's not reliable, it's mediocre on roads since it weights tons and the futur models will be more comfortable. When the next face lift comes all owners will sell it back to their land rover dealership to get a new one

The old models of Defenders for sure, those are timeless cars. But these new “defenders” if you can even call them like that, have nothing special..in 5 years they will look old
the looks aren't timeless imo, but only time can tell, at least not the hideous front end
I can't quite say I love everything about how this looks, but I think the concept of a tiny 2 door muscle suv could really end up very cool.
When you hit the like button in under 30 seconds, because the intro got my attention so quickly. Such a great video. Keep up your amazing work guys! Also the thumbnails are the best ;)
It has the F-Type SVR engine & drives AMAZINGLY. I'll never sell mine. Doing ECU & pulleys soon 💪 Also adding exhaust sounds like the SVR
I would recommend the Miltek Exhaust for the V8. Sounds great!

@@arthurinch9248 Eh I don't know, I previously considered getting a Milltek system for mine but decided against it because it doesn't suit the character of the vehicle imo, a bit too brash and loud, now I‘m just having an X pipe fabricated.
Not to say no one should get it, to each their own, just pointing out that it might conflict with the cars character.
@@1240Dax Let me know how it sounds with the X pipe! The miltek exhaust is basically a straight pipe so it really depends on what you want

It's not underrated it's just a really old engine that has tons of issues.

@@doggedlydetermined7022 Personally, my dad has had 4 JLR 5.0L V8s and there has never been any issues with the engine (Range Rover 510, Range Rover Sport 525 Range Rover SVA dynamic and a Range rover SVR). However, we have had issues with the electronics and one fault with the suspension.
@@datownkidd What are you on about, the 5.0 (& 3.0 since theyre the same block lol) have minimal issues. the 5.0's especially are stout as can be. the ingenium engines are the awful ones, and the tdv8's of old were very problematic. but the 5.0 is old architecture based upon the older ford v8's funnily enough. regardless, the v8 is a very strong engine. correct maintenance and they're problem free 99% of the time
These 90's will become collectors. The SWB looks cool and old-school. There are plenty of massive or long SUV's out there. And a V8 option is so unicorn.

That’s a very unique torque number for Jag’s 5.0 supercharged V8…wonder how/why they tuned it like that. That engine was just upgraded from 502 to 516 lb-ft in the F-Pace SVR and I think more in the 575hp spec.

Who knows Range Rover as a premium brand would offer something like Defender that is even more special than their ultra luxurious but boring flagship models. Love it!
Uhhhhhh absolutely everyone?? the Defender is their longest-running model. Flagship models are boring? you probably have severe brain damage and a negative IQ. Also this is a Land Rover, not a Range Rover. Land Rovers are more affordable but less luxurious than Range Rovers.
Most unreliable machinery ever they need to take notes from lexus Both jag and rover are terrible engineering mechanically to many problems I know someone that works for jag land rover parts department and they even told me jag and rover are far the worst vehicles mechanically

That's a really cool little ride that gets down with that V8. Looks really comfortable. Funny episode and Rex looks like a cool dog.
If this one is too stubby for you, you can get the 130 version, which is literally as long as a bus, and it has the same engine
The 90 is a Blazer, the 110 is a Tahoe, and the 130 is a Suburban, I hope that one day, Land Rover would make a pickup out of a defender which would be cool.

I had a 2001 Jeep Wrangler that I swapped a 5.7 liter Vortec V8 and a 4L80E 5 speed auto with a Tera60R rear diff with Detroit Locker , a short 3 inch Low-Center-of Gravity king arm lift by TeraFlex and just 33’s and with 4.56’s it was a MONSTER on the road! Front wheels would pick up just an inch or two on launch, but most of all it’s handling in the corners was shockingly amazing , since, I’ve waiting for Jeep or ford with the Bronco to do a high hp 2 door but it’s Land Rover that did it! Awesome and I can believe 100% thr shock they had in handling , the crazy short wheelbase and wide footprint with power is crazy! If I was a millionaire this is what I’d get my daughter for her 16th birthday! Too safety rating and beautiful , advanced vehicle

@@issavibez394 I always hear this, usually it's backed by 0 actual experience with JLR products, I‘ve had two RR‘s over the years (both supercharged AJ113‘s) and the only issue I‘ve ever had in a combined 7+ years of ownership has been a single faulty MAF which took me 20 minutes to replace and cost 25 bucks...
Reminds me of a modern day souped-up luxury version Geo Tracker with a badass v8, lol. Seen a Black one just like this couple days ago i didnt even know they existed actually, it caught me off guard. Kinda tiny but yet def some nice ground clearance.

This is nuts! I JUST saw a blueish grey one in downtown Baltimore but couldn't catch up quickly enough to determine exactly what I was looking at. I thought Jimny perhaps, but it looked quite a bit larger. Bottom line; I love it, and I want one!

I got the 4door '23 defender with the v6 engine and I fucking love it! best car I've ever had! handles snow like its not even there. would have loved the v8 but ultimately the 400hp/400torque supercharged AND turbo charged v6 ended up being plenty for me. 😀
It’s a straight six, not a V6 !
But, yes, the P400 is an excellent engine.

It's rare that I prefer the longer version of an SUV, but this and the Escalade/Tahoe/Yukon are the two exceptions.

Oh man, I can totally picture this thing slammed with some flared fenders and a front splitter, maybe a hood scoop. Throw a low profile roof rack on it with some old school rally lights above the windshield.
I'm just astonished at the price of new cars and who can afford them.
Hopefully in 2 or 3 years when the leases are being returned I can pick up for not too much, the V8 market keeps going down with these new EVs and I'm here for it, more V8s for me

I got the wife this as I have the lowest powered diesel Range Rover for long journeys, we looked at super fast suvs but nothing has the height and can actually go off-road …this is brilliant! But get the air suspension, pano roof and side steps….the rear seat opening takes forever! Oh and get a non std exhaust it’s a v8!
