Key and Peele are the funniest comedians I have ever saw in my 68 years on Earth! Comic genius of the highest!!
I was raised in a VERY religious environment, & to do "smart" Biblical comedy is always welcome! Also, Galileeroy? GENIUS.
Can never go wrong with a key n peele compilation. On tv they had to sensor a lot of stuff but thankfully we can still see some good skits on UA-cam

And my ear ia sensitive. If there was a missing note, I would move to that part. And it would mess everyone up around me because they were used to matching my pitch. So I would think EXACTLY THOSE WORDS IN MY HEAD!
Key & Peele were these fantastic performer/writers on Mad TV. Then they did this show that was absolute genuis,... best show on TV every week. They were delivering every week. Not only was it on locations, make up, voices, costumes,... it was brilliant writing and performing.
Key is now in Schmigadoon, a musical on Apple TV so i guess he is recognized for being able to sing

If youre looking for more Key and Peele compilations I'd like to suggest the Valet sketches and the musical sketches(there are 3 volumes)
So many layers to their humor, I love it. And in that one part where they were fighting off the devil and so forth, this actually goes back to the early days and I remember once having read a literal transcription from an evangelist black preacher in the 1800s, and then when I was in high school, I was part of a state winning debate team, but also in Forensics, there was this insanely talented black man who was so incredible at everything he did and was a hero of sorts to a lot of people in those groups, he could be so serious but he could be hilarious.
But he researched that historical bit so much and then chose it to do as a dramatic interp for State, and I think he won that year. He certainly went a far way with it, and I saw it three or four times, and it was absolutely mesmerizing every single time.
But this K&P skit has the same rhythm of that, and at the heart of it, once it gets rolling, this preacher is likening being on a pole, and you're climbing up the pole to heaven, but then the Satan is there trying to pull you back down, and you're climbing higher but then you're losing ground and you're struggling, and I remember there was one great line or it goes: And I know that sometime clouds be hanging over your head, the devil has got a hold on your soul, but you got to climb, keep climbing that pole up to heaven
And of course it was extremely animated. That feeling of that kind of super old school delivery was really captured in that part of this presentation.
I was laughing so hard! And I've seen most of these before! LOL!

This reaction was OUTSTANDING!!! I feel like you are getting everything they wanted you to get. You can see that they prolly knew a whole lot of their audience was not gonna get a lot of this. But they NEVER pulled any punches or dumbed anything down.

So glad you picked up how knowledgeable on Christianity the writer is to pen such terrific skits!! Many skits where made to subtlety drop knowledge on Christianity, racism & other areas through these comedy skits. Quite ingenious really! Most wouldn't realise they're actually being taught about Jesus & his teachings & its only later they realise they've now acquired this knowledge. Quite brilliant the mind of a genius! 😂😂

Some of the deacons at my church had a stranglehold on it. A deacons daughter kept getting injured on ski trips because she wouldn’t do ski school that her mom made the church stop the trips and it was the only time my sister and I didn’t fight because we were skiing circles around everybody

No matter what race or religion, if you believe that we were created in the image of The Lord, and we as humans have a sense of humor, that must mean The Lord has a sense of humor as well. 🤔 Sometimes comic acts can go too far, but most of them are tastefully done, and I’d like to think The Lord is laughing along with us at times.
