The corvette interior is so interesting. Really focuses on the driver experience, so much your completely cut off from the passenger lol. Love the little tablet to your right. Feels like an airplane or spaceship cockpit. Very unique setup
I just wish they would change the climate controls. I haven't heard other people say they like them more than normal controls. Just put the important buttons below the screen and the obscure stuff in a menu. Also would be good for when you ask the passenger to change the settings while you're driving.
@@faeinthebay Yeah I agree with that. I don't own one but I've driven a couple of them at this point. Being 6'4 I'm surprised I'm decently comfortable in the car but I have to basically look at the floor to change anything on that panel, its distracting.
Ok that V8 with the electric motor sound is incredible...

The GoPro Hero 12 does struggle a bit with low-light, that's probably what you're noticing. Usually I film night drives with the DJI Osmo 4
I'm honestly still amazed that GM actually pulled this off!! After the Cien concept some 20yrs ago I figured well that's it GM isn't interested in building world class exotics or anything competitive to Italy or Europe sadly! But then comes along the C8 Corvette & I nearly fell off my seat when I first saw it! Absolutely stunning & truly inspiring to say the least! Can't wait for the ZR1 👍😜
It’s absolutely insane how far the corvette has come! The fact it can be on the same tier as a Lamborghini or Ferrari is awesome. Kudos to Chevy

I had the chance to drive this briefly for work (I work at a carwash). Stunning car. I had a stupid grin on my face all the way up until the owner drove off
The stealth mode is so freaking cool. It's like how LeMans cars get going from the pits
Especially how the Cadillac V Series.R transition to its ICE engine with explosive V8 power
I'm sold. Love the way it just zips up to speed with no effort.

The whine would probably get old after awhile, should be a way to turn that off....if you're hard on the throttle the battery drained pretty quick but it's a nice street car. How about updating the stereo test music with some Rush haha, I might suggest Analog Kid

I drove the 2021 yesterday and it was funny seeing you post it as I’m driving a older model
The two noises fight with each other. The V8 engine sounds old-school and doesn’t mix with a new school electronic sounds. Also, the V8 is shifting gears and electronic sound never stops so the two sounds don’t really sync up. It’s weird.
Damn 10.5 out the box that thing is extremely quick. Glad to see they gave it a proper 345 tire to ensure you can put down the power. Still not sure why the Hellcat came with 275's haha. The C7z's were so scary to drive at the limit, these seem much more well engineered.
This is probably the perfect street corvette.
This vehicle is proof that hybrid systems and large naturally aspirated V8s CAN coexist...

@jxxxxx44 Amazing, isn't it? The MG sports car divides opinion. But, like hats, some like this, some like that! In 20 years, though, people will be calling it a classic! Like the car I used to have - my all time favourite - the second model Karmann Ghia (the Corvair style one) , the Type 34. If you don't know them, look them up on the internet, simply Type 34 Karmann Ghia, and see what you think. I personally fell in love with it, when they reviewed it in a sunday paper - but it got nothing but flack. Till now. Now that's considered a classic, like I always thought. Look it up, and see what YOU think!

But I feel that rear wheel is too small compared to the wheel arch
345/25R21 is far from small. But a lot of us dont love the offset on the C8 in general. Many people buy wheel spacers to fill the gap a bit better. It doesnt bother me enough to put spacers on, but it does look better if they fill the wheel well more.

When GM puts their best engineers on something it truly is best in the world. Compare this hybrid system to the BMW V8 hybrid… you can’t cause there is no comparison.

A fantastically powerful Chevy car for sure.
#Chevrolet needs to adjust that cramped interior. Drop the rib with buttons to fit the nav screen comfortably and open room for the bottuns at the fingertips. Add a two inches to the rear to adjust the stiff seats.
#chevrolet , please don't take so long in making the adjustments that people grow too old to consider buying a new model.

Is it really that pricey by modern standards for how fast it is with CF brakes , massive tires , CF roof , wide body and some options and more standard stuff then other models . Its expensive but there are mustangs that are RWD NA that are 70k . If your used to german car pricing or ITALIAN or even a similar High end HONDA / NSX that is 200k+ and AWD Turbo 911s with options getting like 300k now . For most chuckleheads who just want a wild looking car that smacks you into the seat from a dig on regular roads that is still more car then majority of people could exploit and get some help from the AWD and traction mngmt including a drift mode to get some slip angle . Seems by todays devalued $ and cost of avg cars and goofy luxury PUs and SUVs gone bonkers it seems kinda reasonable even if out of reach for vast majority of drivers nobody really saw this type of performance and acceleration coming in future in 70s , 80s , 90s and 00s . If you told people there would be a 10 sec car on all seasons any chucklehead could drive it would have seemed goofy if you were driving your new 220 Hp c4 with digital dash that was considered fast and would rattle your fillings out .
Apart from that terrible steering wheel, a fantastic car! Value for money is off the scale

Gorgeous. The only quality GM vehicle they make (next to the Tahoe and the new Escalade). And strangely I love the new cheap Buick crossover (even though it's made in China). I wish they brought back Pontiac and released a new G8 and Firebird.

I understand the thinking behind the stealth mode, allowing you to leave your neighborhood silently, but I really don't think I'd feel good about having a completely cold engine start up for the first time at 45 mph.
Starts up about the same RPM as it would just sitting there idle. It’s not like you’re starting it revved up to 5000

me watching this knowing i have a 1999 honda accord
Drove the new Z06 on track earlier this week. Quite disappointing. Handling balance is still hyper lethal on the limit as compared to my time in the Z51. I ran a 1:55 around VIR, which is very fast for almost anything. It just isn't a real driver's car. I was hoping the Z06 would remedy some of the woes of the Z51. It just increased the speed at which the same poor handling traits become exposed. Convinced the whole C8 line is a big disappointment, certainly on track.
You should have bought the camaro zl1 1le then. Same power but better suspension and more weight on the rear wheels.

Yeah, I can't say I'm the biggest fan of it either. Then again, I'm more of a classic muscle car interior guy, circular air vents and gauges and the screens integrated into the dash if there at all. Quite an odd steering wheel too. Almost a steering square. No manual kinda seals it for me.
