I have a powermatic dark green dial and the pvd rose gold, red dial Tsyosa. I really like them both. I just wish the Tsyosa had a milled scissor clasp.
The yellow looks great, I just wish they hadn't added a cyclops. The bracelet has to be good on an integrated watch, but at least it has some micro adjustment unlike a PRX.
I like the yellow and the Tiffany Blue. The Yellow one is a little too loud for me and not as easy to fit with what I wear. So it is the Blue one for me.
Also I really don’t mind the bracelet I like the presidential style. I’m easy to satisfy with bracelets I think Like I think the spb143 bracelet is perfectly fine and when I had one I didn’t have any urge to get an aftermarket bracelet I really like but I concede it sorta clashes with the case design But that kinda works with the more colorful dials imo It adds to the loudness I much prefer pin and collar and that’s a nice perk to me of budget watches. They don’t back out like screws can and once properly sized I have never had to mess with links again The stamped clasp would be nice if it was milled but it feels fine so I don’t gripe
Great video!! Got the Tsuyosa gold with the red dial. It’s all about the bling 😊To that price I just have to love it. Got the ice blue PRX also, the PRX offers better quality
Nice review. I ordered this with the white dial. I just thought it looked so clean and elegant. I always liked citizen for their quality and long lasting time pieces. It def has a datejust vibe. I really like how they offer nice color selection also.
I think Citizen hit a homer. The watch is gorgeous and the combination of design elements makes it ironically an original. Black dial for me. BTW, whats bad about a $300 watch? You said it with a smug snear.
I own the red dial variant and the two-tone variant. NIce pieces. The bracelet? Wish the clasp was a milled as opposed the pressed? But then for the price point? Well, got to deal with. Still love it, though.
I got an ice blue Ball Engineer last year that is one of my favorite watches. The tritium lume is amazing! Plus it's a chronometer, rated to 200m and has 10000 Gauss rating, same as a Milgauss. For what I'd pay for a Milgauss, I could have gotten 8 of them.
I'm really not sure why you conclude that the PRX is better. I have both and for half the money (US$300 vs US$600) the Tsuyosa works out better. Overall, the PRX is rather flat in comparison to the Tsuyosa. Flat almost boring dials coupled with a watch and bracelet that sit flat on and around the wrist. The clasp may feel better because of this flatness but equally there is no micro-adjustment, which is a major inconvenience and kind of balances out the stamped clasp of the Tsuyosa, which is merely aesthetic. The PRX also wears very long indeed. The 40mm PRX has a lug to lug of a staggering 51mm which is on a par with some Nomos models and therefore a game changer for most people. If I had a quid for every time I've read how someone has had to buy the 35mm, I'd be able to buy another one. People should not have to resort to sizing down as a solution if the basic design is so good, surely? At almost double the price given the plastic composite of parts of the movement, I'm staggered to hear anyone say the PRX is a better value proposition. Maybe it's because one is Swiss and the other is Japanese?
I hear you, but IMO having spent some time with both watches, the quality of the finishing of the PRX is leagues better than the Tsuyosa. Likewise the Powermatic 80 is a better movement with greater accuracy and a longer power reserve (despite lacking the ability for regulation). In terms of the sizing and long lug-to-lug of the PRX, as well as the lack of microadjustment, you're absolutely on point. The Tsuyosa definitely offers great value, no doubt, but the PRX would be my recommendation for those who can stretch to it and have the wrist size to pull it off.
Looks great, in my opinion, and love their choices of colors. My only gripe is the lack of water resistance (lack of a screwdown crown). A minimum of 100m WR would have made it a decent everyday watch.
I bought a green Tsuyosa and a blue prx automatic. Of course the prx is better build, but costs a lot more. I paid 260€ for the Citizen and 680€ for the PRX. I know there is a quarz prx for less money. Both watches are extremely good for their price tbh. Like them both on my wrist🫶🏻 Only downside is the 50m of water resistance, wouldnt be much of a problem to make it 100m…
Beautiful watch, shame Citizen opted for 40mm, I really hate this style of case when it's all bulked up. It was designed for 35mm diameter and it just looks chunky when scaled up.
Depends on your wrist, ideally brands should offer a 40mm, 35mm and 28-30mm version of watches to cover all sizes and genders. People are getting taller and the increase in watch size is somewhat in proportion to that, if you are over 190cm a 35mm starts to look small.
Nowhere near the same quality or finishing. The bracelet on the Tsuyosa feels a little cheap and jangly - definitely the weak link (no pun intended). Whereas in my experience of the PRX on the other hand, the bracelet feels like it belongs on a much more expensive watch - save for a few slightly sharp edges.
@@Escapement24the bracelet on the prx feels like it belongs on a watch like the prx. You’ve obviously never experienced an actual well finished bracelet.
Genuinely curious to know which sub $800 watches you've come across with better bracelets my friend? And as far as ever having seen a good bracelet...well that Moser Streamliner in one of my recent videos is probably one of the best you can get. Ask anybody who's handled one.
can anyone tell me, Is it really sapphire glass??? I've checked it with drop of water but it doesn't action like sapphire with water! and rear glass looks like sapphire when on it water
Awesome Citizen Toyota! 🤣 I do like it for what it is, but it doesn't seem as exciting as the PRX or CW's the Twelve. However, for its price... it's a great contender for sure! Great review, mate!
I felt the same and wasn't impressed with the PRX when I first tried one on about a year ago. However...I got the new 35mm in for review recently (video coming soon) and it felt like a different watch, not just in size but the finishing too. It's given me a new appreciation for it tbh.
@@Escapement24 it's not the fume dials, we already had that in most Asia market, not only in Japan. What I meant is totally new dial colors, launching this September.
I got the OP41 Tiffany, looked at this yellow one in Fraser Hart Cribbs Causeway, not sure if I liked it or not, think I will stick to my Tiffany until I want to sell it.
I just got the yellow one. I think its great. I just wish the case was a big thinner. It quite thick and sits very flat on my wrist. Overall though, I love it.

I absolutely love these watches! 100% on my review list for this year!
Just had the Red one. Love it.
Excellent, fair and thorough review. Funny, I actually liked the bracelet. But when you made the case that it doesn't suit the watch you convinced me.
Thanks buddy, glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the feedback!
The yellow looks great, I just wish they hadn't added a cyclops. The bracelet has to be good on an integrated watch, but at least it has some micro adjustment unlike a PRX.
The bracelet is definitely the weak link (no pun intended!) in an otherwise solid package. Reminds me a little of how the SKX bracelets were.
I like the yellow and the Tiffany Blue. The Yellow one is a little too loud for me and not as easy to fit with what I wear. So it is the Blue one for me.

You aren’t going to get a decent watch for $300. Decent timepieces start out in the $3-4k range.
@@whereRbearsTeeth Hilariously mistaken.
This is amazing. The PRX does nothing for me. I love the loose bracelet on this. It looks awesome and is super comfortable.
I scooped up the yellow one and returned it. My wife loved it for her she said.

This costs around $280 - $300 from where I'm from which can get you 3 Tsuyosas for the price of 1 Tissot PRX.
A simple, well priced, handsome watch. Very nice. Love the color and the cyclops date.
That's a pretty decent summary 👍
Does the bracelet tappers down?
I have Tiffany blue color of it and it’s really fantastic and I bought it in india from Tata Helios store personally at a huge discount
Can you mention the exact discount, I'm planning to buy one?
I have bought it for 28900/- from Tata Helios Store in GIP Noida
