Looking forward to how you build this out. Check out YT channels for Bruce Parks for ideas on Sienna camper build. Is your build just for occasional camping excursions or to live in for extended periods? What did you end up doing with your mid-row seats -- throw them away or sell them of give them away?
I have the mid row seats up for sale. I want to be able to stay in it for about a month at a time max.
@@TheSoupier I bought my 2015 Sienna last week of Dec 2023. I will not be building mine out til end of this year as I've other projects needing my attention. But I have started researching and have watched nearly every minivan camper build on UA-cam -- will marinate then simmer all of the various build ideas to come up with my own recipe later this year. What I have learned so far is that folks who live in or use for extended periods of time prefer fixed bed mode sleeping system over having to set up between couch and bed mode systems every day/night. I think you stated you intend to just lay folding mattress on floor -- note that the floor of a Sienna is neither flat or level. Level is not as important since it's always relative to ground the van is parked over whereas flat surface may be more important depending on your age and other possible health conditions.
I've not heard of anyone who has successfully sold their Sienna seats (why I asked as I too will be needing to get rid of mine). Most who have replied to my question say they ended up throwing them away or storing them for possible later van resale as even giving them away was unsuccessful. I will likely try and sell mine on craigslist for best offer since I have quite a bit of time before I begin my build. Best wishes with your build!
