    Ditch the extra flashers and just get a couple larger batteries.
    Also a rope helps to get out of slush. Once you get the sled on dry snow, use the rope to get the sleigh out.

    An extreme adventure for sure! Eskimo got great value and exposure for sponsoring this video. Hopefully they paid very well for an epic demo of the tent and gear.
    The videography quality is the best as usual for you.

    I used to have sled dogs that I would camp with in the BWCA. You showed that even with snowmobiles winter camping is an adventure!

      Man that would be a next level adventure with sled dogs!! Sounds like an absolute blast. How was it managing all the food and sleeping arrangements for the dogs?

    Hey Grant! You're in my backyard haha I'm glad you don't mention the spot, lets keep this place special. Excited to see the rest of the trip. Pumped for this upcoming ice fishing season. Thumbs up!

    Such an awesome video! The story is always the critical part of any fishing video, and you nailed it once again Grant (and crew)! Can’t wait for part II.

    I’ve dealt with knee deep slush on crow lake 2 years ago. They got 12 inches of new snow while we were there for a weekend. Titans, expeditions, bearcats. Everything was getting stuck and that was just pulling a flip over shack with a heater/propane and your rods and tackle. So not even loaded up. It was also -5 the whole time so it was a frozen cold mess

    • @SuperiorAngling
      @SuperiorAngling  Рік тому

      Terrible. We have experienced that on Crow as well. Was February i believe. Tough fishing and cold conditions. Those lakes can put your gear to the test!

    I bet the tent was stinky when the galvy coating burned off your stove pipes? First stove burns usually a bit stinky too. Those fish were awesome!

    Wow! I have fished a lot of bodies of water, have a boat on Lake Erie, have fished Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans but omg wow THAT was amazing!! Thanks for allowing me the opportunity, through your channel, to experience that!! As a subscriber for over a year now, I'm always excited to see another video you guys put out! Can't wait for Part 2!

    Any problems with the stove pipe and wood stove? I always recommend setting it up outside and burning a fire in it to before using it in a shelter. The fumes are nasty and toxic until burned off. I miss seeing the beaver mitts too.

    • @SuperiorAngling
      @SuperiorAngling  Рік тому

      Yeah we burned a hot fire for 1 hour with all doors open as this was a brand new stove. Beaver mitts will be back soon! LOL. Only one issue with the stove - you will see on Part 2 coming on 12/3 - nothing too major and 100% our fault. ha. live and learn.

      Adjustable elbows work well for us. Lubricant them at the end of each outing so that they stay adjustable for the next trip. @@SuperiorAngling

    Where did you get the welder fabric with the velcro that fits the window? That's a great accessory to have!

    Another awesome show, guys! I'm definitely digging the camping experience out on the ice! I would definitely recommend a solar generator for charging your camera/fishing gear. I'm wondering when part 2 will be hitting the air. You guys always push the limits of fishing, camera footage, and the symphony type audio. Superior Angling is definitely my favorite Angling show. Keep doing it right!

    • @SuperiorAngling
      @SuperiorAngling  Рік тому

      Thanks so much for the comment and support!! Yeah I think a solar charger of some sort is on the short list of gear to get. Part 2 will be this coming Sunday at 5:30pm. New episode every week!

    Solar panels or wind generator for the electricity boys it works for long trips and is super lightweight 💯👍

    Wow, fun video, Grant! Lots of work and planning into this trip. The logistics must have taken a lot of time! The amount of electronics you guys brought is amazing. Good job! Looking forward to part 2! With the temps you mentioned -20/-25. Did you have any problems with the sleds starting/running?

    • @SuperiorAngling
      @SuperiorAngling  Рік тому +1

      Appreciate the comment! No issues with the sleds at all - however the first upgrade i did on the 850 expedition was to add pull start. ha. You will never find me in a situation like that without a pull-start machine.

    I must have missed it or else they didn't say it (probably the latter) where they are.......... nobody looking for gps coordinates here but it gives it some subjectivity if we know the general area. Just say BWCA

    your channel has great cinematography and fishing, however you desperately need some funny co-fisherman to contribute to the show. Could easily be the biggest channel on UA-cam IMO.

      Fishermen can have personalities, and they can't. Kind of a chicken and egg conundrum as far as to why, takes being there for their first drop of a line, and all the drops since to know I guess
