Felixstowe Container Traffic Pt.1 14.06.23 - 4K

2nd day of filming around Ipswich and we focus on the Felixstowe Branch,starting at Westerfield then Trimley & Gun Lane before walking down to Blofield Track Crossing just outside the dock.The almost constant flow of traffic in & out of the docks on this line makes for another days excellent filming.

I watched this video of your 2nd day with a lot of interest Dave as I wanted to see how the hedges had grown at Gun Lane as there are so many angles to capture the trains there.
I was very impress the way you planned your day which looks like you finished around 20.00 hrs with that 66544 using the middle line which was a bit different I thought.
Great video, I'm hoping to get that way in July. Mike.

Thanks Mike,I did have to do a fair bit of pruning lol at Gun Lane but not too bad.Would have liked to have done a little more from the bridge but it was too windy.Yes was out all day making the most of the long days & working around the 90’s workings as don’t get to see them very often.Hope you have the same weather as I did Mike🤞🏻Cheers Dave

Awesome video Dave. Plenty of freight trains with loads of boxes shame you didn't catch DB Cargo 66s and is odd not seeing 66/9s on intermodal just 66/5s

Thanks Arnold,it’s a really busy line & almost continual 1 in 1 out of the Port.
There’s not that many DB services compared with FL & GBRf but there is some DB 66 footage in Part 2. Didn’t see any 66/9’s all week,see them on Mendip workings more these days.Cheers for watching as always,Dave👍🏼
