You can try massaging your head with oil once in a while. Or you don't have to use oil. You can try the inversion method. Emm, products with biotin as well.

I also did (and still do) a LOT of protective styles like braids, twisted crowns, etc. Anything to keep your hair off your shoulders. Also I deep condition with every co-wash (either Aussie Moist 3 minute miracle or Mixed Chicks deep conditioner) and then do a strong deep treatment at least every two weeks. But time is the main factor.
You shouldn't detangle dry hair. After you section your hair, you should spritz your hair with water, then apply coconut oil or some oil (or use a homemade detangler spray). You will have way less breakage and tangles will easily slip apart. Great method especially if you were wearing coils. Otherwise great video and lovely hair. Subbing

It may have to do with the products I use they always make my hair really soft, and I air dry my hair so it won't frizz up and the curls can do their own thing. Try air drying it , it'll prevent a lot of frizz :)
I have and I just put coconut oil before I go to bed. And wrap my hair in a satin cap to go to bed. Try drying your hair with a cotton tshirt instead of a towel, and wash your hair with cool water instead of warm.
