Growing up, my family would always tell us, “we have family underneath that condo.” and that our family used to take care of Kamoiliili Church that once stood there. The Mother Church, Kawaiahaʻo, had the church raised for real estate profits, the cemetery was supposedly exhumed and the graves relocated to Kawaiahaʻo cemetery with an original cornerstone and church bell to mark as a memorial. Our family has the most accounted for on the plaque thanks to steadfast relatives who spoke out during the 60’s. As a family, we never knew for sure who was really brought over and sadly fear many of the deceased are still there, under the Contessa. Mahalo for the stories! I was a big Glen Grant fan growing up and had the Obake Files book with all the uncanny photos. That book made me believe in the scary stories my family used to share and has actually helped me get through some personal experiences myself. Definitely was a big influence on me growing up, didn’t even know he wasn’t originally from Hawaiʻi till later on. Mahalo again! Mālama pono

I just watched your 100 ghost stories video and I was in awe! I listened to them while I was working out, walking my dog, and such. They're all so hauntingly amazing.
My honey and I live on Ohai St. across of Riverside Apartments and when we cruise down the road pass Kaiwiki Road I have a mean chill come over me and even when my son and I used to cruise up Kaiwiki certain places I will come sick to my stomach or I will tell him turn around we don't belong up here like the top of Kaiwiki I would get chicken skin or I can feel like we don't belong there. So, he will ask me why and I would tell him that I feel funny turn the truck around and let's go back home and when we get home then I tell him why I made him turn the truck around and go back down. When I tell him what I felt we never go up there again . Certain places my son and I used to cruise like Honomu area the old roads and the old Ola'a Road I would have chicken skin like we don't belong there or even the old red road the road between Pohoiki and Kalapana like I don't belong there and yet I grew up in that area and I never felt that way until I moved to Wainaku with my ohana and now when we go riding on that road between Kalapana and Pohoiki it feels like I don't belong there that I should've stayed in Hilo. Can you please tell me why do I feel this way whenever I go riding down there now I feel like I don't belong there anymore?
Bring on the 100 stories Unko Lopaka! Moved to the 702 state so hearing all these kine stories just brings me back memory lane when all my older ohana would get together for bbq and whatnot and just sit in a circle at the end of the day and tell their ghost stories growing up. Meeeeaaan kine chicken skin action. That and reminiscing on my own experiences back home too. Much mahalos for the stories. The mana in the stories is real! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
@@LopakaKapanui I'd rather not say what the people in my house are like...it's out of respect for these people. What I can tell you is that there's quite a lot of negativity in the household.
I lived in Kalihi Valley until 1969 when I got married. My brother said he would have this pressure on his chest at night. You must be talking about Kalihi Uka School where I used to go to Japanese School.
Lopaka, tell us about Waianae ulu wehi homes the one next too Waianae intermediate Being seen a old Hawaiian lady in our home sitting on our dinner table so I kindly ask her too go then she disappeared
Hey Uncle Lopaka... you got any stories about poipu beach and shipwrecks cliff? I had encountered many paranormal incidents in the Hyatt and the poipu beach resort aswell as shipwrecks cliff. Lots of mana in that area!!
@@LopakaKapanui I seen the New Video!!! Mahalo for that story!!! I'll try to find out the name of that hotel that collapsed into the ocean in that area during Ewa. My mom and Grandma might remember the name!! Then I'll get back to you
Right on Uncle Lopaka, I live in the 9th island and listening to you brings back old memories of true Hawaii. Thank you so much and please keep em coming. BTW I like the way you used that metaphor, "Some just walk around with a nickel and a penny" niiiiice. #6Sense Do the 100 stories, I guaranteed stay all 6 hours.
I used to live with my uncle in the back of Wainiha, Kauai valley always kinda scary to travel that road. Certain parts of the road id look of the road to the right, thinking someone was there. Instead just Valley vegetation and darkness that would move. My girlfriends family lives on powerline and after a night of partying with her and some friends i was told about a similar experience in the basic area just on the otherside of the Valley; my friend says one night he was all bus; got in his truck and some girl opened his passenger door got in, shut the door and started a conversation with him. Thinking he cannot leave with the girl inside. He talked to her a good amount of time. He said it was not stop and comfortable conversation. However he said he felt better more sober to drive looked to talk to his new friend he met. And she certainly was not enjoying the party as he would have seen her. He looking up from his lap and said he was all alone. He'll never for get her voice, We never did get further discussion on the two storys as we both moved back to Maui And had this share story in common well never knowing how or who she was
Maybe add some kauai stories next round, I live on the east side if you have any stories of that side of the island if not all stories are great, keep up the great work

Awesome true stories . Mahalo from Kalihi Kahu.

Oh there’s a school is build on a Hawaiian burial ground in ala Akau street ulu wehi homes
I’d used to live in Nihi street in corner house in the 70s
Question: how do you know if your house is haunted? Can you feel the presence of the ghost of its haunted?
It depends on the people in the house
