Thanks for adding the driving data at the end. It was also nice to see the mph displayed inside the cop's car. I am a fan of police pursuits, and often use google earth follow the route and calculate speeds.
Maybe someone can answer this for me but For supervisors to ask 'Whats your speeds' and 'hows traffic' along with reporting every turn they make is a pretty huge distraction while chasing at 100 mph.... Im a manager for a large electrical contractor, we have a fleet of 40-50 vehicles and I can instantly see on my CPU or iPhone in REAL time where everyones at, how fast their going, current traffic, how long they've been idling.... It reports all wreck-less driving and I can hone in on a specific unit number and track them live.... Why don't all police have a screen in their squads that allows them to do the same?? Supervisors could see real time speed as well as live traffic to make decisions on when to terminate a chase and other squads can click on a specific squad to 'map to their location'. Maybe some have something like this but IDK it seems like most have to report turn for turn and give updates on speed and traffic conditions when they could be focusing more on driving?
+D.J. Partin Accountability. If they have something that shows the movements of every police vehicle and their speeds, locations, etc. fabricating stories can become much more difficult. Also, cases of abuse (i.e. speeding recklessly for no reason) would also gain attention of dispatch.
+D.J. Partin I admit my ignorance in regards to high tech stuff but could you tell us how can you keep track of everybody? What kind of technology or software do you use?
Early in the chase I was thinking it maybe best to shut it down. At those speeds and the possibility of innocent death was too high. It's very possible command was contemplating this thought - hence the questions. What I do not understand... I'm not knowledgable in this so excuse my ignorance... could Onstar have shut that car down? I'm aware there would people up in arms over this thought but dang, that could be your loved one taken out by this fool.
+D.J. Partin It's to address two serious real-time issues during a pursuit: Communications update over the air for direction being traveled (and anticipated location of the primary pursuing unit by responding units) to avoid the likelihood of a collision between responders and the primary (it happens more often than one would imagine); and it is a conscientious, self-evaluation for the pursuer to force themselves to constantly evaluate their own pursuit tactics, i.e. over-driving. The vast majority of the States have Vehicle Code laws that require law enforcement to drive in a manner (especially during a pursuit) that is consistent with a reasonable duty of care. This is a form of administrative restraint by supervisors to keep the pursuer's mindset on track. It is incredibly easy to fall into tunnel-vision during a high speed pursuit, but being forced to monitor and relay your own direction and speed is a way of keeping one's mind on track. (Doesn't always work, but we're talking about humans here... )

Then add everyone cranking their radios, texting, not scanning their mirrors frequently... I see so many people that won't move over for cops/firemen, and most of the time they just don't know there's an emergency vehicle behind them. Plus, if you're in traffic going 30-35 and someone comes up on you at 60, they come up on you FAST. And frankly, it seems to me the sirens aren't as loud as they used to be. +NATER8o8 is right, I catch the flicker of an LED strobe way behind me in my rearview long before they get anywhere near me.

Then when he right behind you quickly try to move lol. not directed at everyone but quite a few in the video. On a side note guy in the 300 should have got the hemi...
+A42yearoldARAB I encourage you to look into the doppler effect, cars in front don't hear the sirens as easily because they (the sound waves) become slightly higher pitched, high enough that the metal and glass of your car will kill the sound waves out (higher frequencies don't penetrate objects very well at all) till the police are right on your ass if you are traveling at lets say, 45mph, and the cruiser is traveling at 55-75mph, even at equal speeds you still see a notable doppler effect.
+Charles Scott speed of sound is 770 mph. Driving 100+ mph isn't going to make a substantial difference. It is more of the drivers being unable to hear the sirens and not checking their mirrors diligently.
Another idiot main stupid assumptions... You cannot hear a siren miles away here under these conditions. Sound doesn't project ahead of you very well at all when traveling. If you hear it 500 ft. away you are doing well, and a few other things need to happen before a proper response can be enacted, which all take time. Do you morons ever get out and drive?
I think that should have ended in a good ole fashioned cap busting ceremony. Only thing be left is him impersonating some swiss cheese. Took a lot of restraint for them not opening fire. An armed bank robber?!?!

Janel D that mcdons they pulled up at I used to go to all the time. And that little lot behind it I would skate in where the Taco Bell and Wendy’s were.
Most departments have a mix of vehicle types, giving them a mix of advantages. The SUVs are excellent to have around in rural areas where you get dufuses who think they'll lose you off road in their pickup. It is true that in this case a car would have been better due to being lighter and having a lower center of gravity, but that's not what he had. Other officers likely did have cars, but they weren't there. He was there, used what he had, and was able to keep the robber in sight until the quicker vehicles could swarm in and trap him. This pursuit clearly doesn't represent ideal or optimal anything, (Lincoln Zebra Adam???) but the outcome was ideal. The robber got caught, and no one got hurt. Victory covers a multitude of errors. Props to the crew for a job well done.
its kind of hard to pull of to the right when you don't exactly hear the sirens coming at a alraming speed of hundred mph plus! the time you think of pulling over to the right there already five blocks ahead of you.
+Samara Weaving Really please stop letting the blonde hair interfere with your thinking. Kenosha a small town just over the border of IL is not going to have helos. Please think before you speak
+Samara Weaving Do you realize that 90% plus of police departments DO NOT have access to air support. Even larger cities (Richmond, VA) do not have a helicopter. The only helicopter that COULD be available is MedFlight (by the Virginia State Police) but most of the time they only take medical and/or search and rescue calls.
Public "Spankings" of the "Bad Guys" is clearly needed again, when the "Bad Guys" will not stop when they hear the sirens. Maybe also for the car drivers that will not pull over in time.

(Doesn't always work, but we're talking about humans here... )
Cool sooo you spy all day long is that what your talking about ?
I live in Kenosha and heard the chase on my scanner. Great police work but that is normal for the Kenosha and surrounding police departments. Very proud of our police and fire departments, they are top notch and take a backseat to no one. Good work!!!!!
gunvald833 He should have robbed a bank in northern IL instead. All he's got to do is drive recklessly, blow a few stop lights, and go over 100mph and they just turn off the lights and let them go. The crooks are onto it, too.

Like my GPS. I was waiting for MPGs lol
Didn’t know that Michael Madsen was moonlighting as a cop, just like Steven Seagal.
You just gonna bark little doggie? Or do you bite?
lol..Was just thinking the same thing' maybe the guy he was chasing thought he was in a movie Shoot!' 😝
So..we can have brand new squad cars/trucks...and still have the worst cameras ever
Joeger - You do understand that these cameras are rolling 24/7 any higer resolution and storing the footage would be impossible!
Ante I that's why they can run for a couple of hours and if nothing 'noteworthy' happens, it records over itself?
Ante I They could have a switch on the camera to roll in high resolution during siren/light operation.
@peetre, the cameras only roll when the lights are on.
Stephen B so high quality imagery shouldnt be a huge problem.
This went so long it could be an entire half hour "Cops" show!
With this guy running out at 50-60 MPH and at times in excess of 110 MPH, I don't think the people around him had much time to respond to correctly yield the way we would like to see. Great job by this officer of keeping control and communicating. But, yes, it could have gone way bad at any time.
Steve Rosenberg Yeah, probably out-running the siren at that speed; only giving folks a second or two to respond. Too fast for the average civilian.
+Steve Rosenberg that is where police and criminals are different the cops did a good job communicating
+Scott South you ever heard how loud those sirens are? the DPS here in AZ have thumpers which shake the ground.. (or ramblers ) one of those too.
+Scott South People usually see the lights long before they hear the sirens
+Steve Rosenberg All the sound-deadening things they've added to cars to make them nice and quiet blocks a lot of noise.
There is a DESPERATE NEED for a simply installed system that cuts off the siren when a police unit is put in park.
If I heard all those sirens outside of my house id think the whole world was ending, that shit must've been EXTREMELY loud
+Cuzn55 - not to mention the cops being in a high-stress situation and not being able to hear themselves think, much less dispatchers being able to hear them over shoulder mics.
Our cars do.
Jet Gardner That’s a really good idea
matt henderson You’re a cop? Well I have a joke for you and your coworkers....

They steal legally.
The cop in the Tahoe can drive holy shit that was a hemi Chrysler 300 the officer was catching up in the turns with a SUV amazing driving.
Diamondlexus 518 not a hemi. But impressive driving by the cop. If that 300 had the 392 hemi in it he would of waxed that cop.
That was just the v6 300

That Tahoe sounds like a beast under full acceleration.
@Black Buick well, the 300 is smaller and lighter...but hanging on his bumper isn't always a necessity, especially if you're at triple-digit speeds.
The team work involved in this is just amazing. and yet these people don't get paid enough for what they do!
The way hes drivin, they should call him " Mad Mike"
This officer's navigation callouts are impressive, considering he’s driving over 90+ miles with one hand and radio in the other.

12:35 and to the end of the video. Could someone explain to me whats going on? Lol i'm confused i know the driver jumps out but whats with the hat and shoe in the road?
Perfectionz That is where the suspect jumped out of his car. He lost his hat, shoe and gun. From there he took off running and started jumping fences until he was caught. He placed $2,500 in a gutter of a home. They recovered the money.
***** 2,500 I can wipe my ass with that money not worth losing freedom over it. now a trillon dollars now thats worth running away from the cops.

When are people going to realize that 2 way radios are faster than their cars.
These crooks aren't exactly known for their acumen.
I've only seen one get away, a California chase at nite, dude went under a bridge where someone was waiting for him, stolen car
I'm surprised that these Tahoe's can keep up that good!

+Johnny Turbine Wrong, Tahoe PPV's only came with the 5.3L.
WRB LS3 is the racing engine. They have 6.2 Vortecs for the trucks.
+Josh427SS 6.0 VortecMax
its funny watching this video shows how slow people are at both learning how to drive and reactions. you can hear a siren MILES away and your still not looking around to move aside? Then when he right behind you quickly try to move lol. not directed at everyone but quite a few in the video. On a side note guy in the 300 should have got the hemi...
+A42yearoldARAB he would have got away with the hemi
Sir, you have no fucking idea what the Doppler effect is or whadda effects affect the sound wavves. In short: keep da fucking shut up, pls....
I lost 5 pounds sweating through my palms watching this.
Hats off to the commentating police officer. Outstanding commentary only matched by his outstanding skill in driving.
I think that should have ended in a good ole fashioned cap busting ceremony. Only thing be left is him impersonating some swiss cheese. Took a lot of restraint for them not opening fire. An armed bank robber?!?!
I was super impressed with how this officer 👮🏻 called this pursuit, and how he knew where the perp was going to be!!
the chrysler 300 is the ultimate "i grew up poor and have no idea how to manage money" car
dumb statement. it's more of a comfort ride. i don't see why anyone wouldn't want it.

Dude, Racine is where I go cliff diving it’s usually so peacefully there.
"Kenosha, Wisconsin" sounds idyllic, but it's practically a part of Chicago, Illinois.
No it's not
Mt pleasant is EXACTLY how EVERY department should react
I want to see a new Challenger Hellcat in a high speed chase i'm sure 100 mph would be slow
Broward County has them!
Every county has them. At Dodge dealers.
WOW! Cops have to have balls of steel to drive that fast!
Efrem Coleman was sentenced in December of 2015 to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery of a financial institution. The other charges against him were dismissed. Sheesh.
Damn it’s crazy af watching this and knowing exactly where they’re at. And knowing what streets they should have taken to get away 😂

Officer Madsen, I have much respect for you, your training and level of skill. A find officer of the law.
Because of this video, I'm sticking with sedans. No SUVs for me.
@9:28 "Any Mount Pleasant Police cars with you?"
"I don't see anybody here!" LOL!
It got me a little emotional when backup arrived.
Helicopters. That's all I'm saying.
Keith murray how about we address the first issue, get a faster lighter car like a charger.
keith murray Helicopters with napalm.
Yea because helicopters are totally going to stop a car
It didn't work out well for the cops in _gumball rally_
7:52 100 MPH! that should be an automatic jail sentence/license revocation.
80+ mph =JAIL in Virginia +/or $ 2,500 fine?
I'm pretty sure running from the cops is an automatic jail sentence.
@@positronicreflex. Usually a death sentence.
In Fl. if your clocked doin a buck or more its a felony
I see a whole lotta jail time coming for Mr. Efrem Z. Coleman.
Wow, just scrolling thru UA-cam and suddenly I'm on a high speed chase right past my house!!..I live on Green Bay road about 2 miles south of Racine!
the cop had the robbers right in front of him and just let him get away. why wouldnt he just block him in right there? doesnt make sense to me
Michael Madsen was the name of the cop who was chasing after bank robbers. Michael Madsen played a bank robber in Reservoir Dogs. Coincidence?
Skullpuck . Yes!
His computer sounded like the trolley from mr Rogers neighborhood
That close and local to home. Totally strange. Kenosha is the next town to the north of me.
What I want to know is how do these cops talk so calmly to dispatch??? I'd be screaming in the damn phone 😂😂😂
Stephani snake diet diary 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah cause that’s what females do, scream all day.
its kind of hard to pull of to the right when you don't exactly hear the sirens coming at a alraming speed of hundred mph plus! the time you think of pulling over to the right there already five blocks ahead of you.
i saw like 50 minivans in this video lol Bust be popular there eh
I SEE YOU it's Wisconsin, man. Soccer mom central.
It’s near urban Chicago that’s why
Most of Wisconsin has trucks and nice cars other than the southern area like Milwaukee and Waukesha
lol
wow Chicago is filled with fucking chases
RED GEM STUDIOS this is Kenosha... That is in Wisconsin. Lol. Yes, we do exist
The officer showed many skills ...
Could've and should've requested air support (helicopter) purely for public safety.
+Samara Weaving Really please stop letting the blonde hair interfere with your thinking. Kenosha a small town just over the border of IL is not going to have helos. Please think before you speak
John Doe
I did give credit to the officer so don't fuckin cry mummies boy 😂
Exactly instead of squealing like a child in fear, and recklessly chasing agile maneuverable cars with 7000 pound strrl bricks at 110mph
i knw right
+Samara Weaving Do you realize that 90% plus of police departments DO NOT have access to air support. Even larger cities (Richmond, VA) do not have a helicopter. The only helicopter that COULD be available is MedFlight (by the Virginia State Police) but most of the time they only take medical and/or search and rescue calls.
These people have no respect for law or life. Jails are overcrowded. Bring back capital punishment.
Wow smdh
@Scott M we need to adopt a China's death penalty system they sent you at 10 in the morning you're executed 3 that afternoon
Yup, a dipshit fleeing police in a 1 or 2 ton vehicle endangers countless lives; hang ' em.shoot ' em. drown ' em. No sympathy here
Public "Spankings" of the "Bad Guys" is clearly needed again, when the "Bad Guys" will not stop when they hear the sirens. Maybe also for the car drivers that will not pull over in time.
You mean public executions
Never saw a 100 mph chase like this, local roads vs highways I mean. That was stellar work & beyond brave of all officers involved. I was so damn tense watching this!
Above 100mph.... and still only got to 10 1/2 miles.... That is sad....

I'm not sure what kind of drug these people are on, you can't out run the cops.
Some people can but majority of people can’t otherwise something is wrong
Those Chrysler 300s are hard to catch ! 😂
Kenosha takes seriously bank robbing, thank God Off. Madsen is on the force. Man's a Legend!

You know half those residential neighborhoods are going to demand speed bumps put on their streets
70 mph in a residential area, if my kid got hit by that cop car he would have more than one perp to have to deal with, and i wouldnt be running away i'd be running towards him..
nope actually 90 mph..wtf.. cop is more dangerous than the robber, did the bad guy kill someone? no, then why put so many in public in danger?
