A couple of my friends that I used to train with started a lot like you. Donnie Thompson (former world record power lifter) and Marc "Spud" Bartley (former world ranked power lifter. I wish your gym was near us. My boys would do great there.
Probably the best gym on UA-cam, everything you need to build champions. One thing though, the smoothie bar man.

29:10 - Jason is an unsung hero! The UA-cam presence is obviously very important for a business whose significant exposure to the world is on UA-cam. Jason's video production is very high quality and keeps this channel competing for people's attention in a world where the video production for all UA-cam channels keep increasing rapidly.
I wish I could train in a gym like that. It looks amazing.
On another note, Dane, it would be very interesting to have a video series featuring your different athletes to get to know them more and have them talk about their training!
I really respect and admire what this man and his team has accomplished. Truly, it'a a BEAUTIFUL story... Family, Fitness, Competition, Passion, Planning, Friends, Example, Help and Inspiration. That's true value in the community shared with all the viewers. Completely deserving of all present and future accomplishments.

Great video as always, I've been wondering what your gym is like, i love that you have some stuff a lot of gyms don't have but they're not gimmicky, like the place for athletes to do single emg squats comfortably or the nordic curl machine, super cool stuff, would love to be an athlete and train here one day

Awesome tour! Did I see Dane on the board for that insane 315 lb weighted dip? Seeing the excellent gym set-up and equipment makes me want to take a drive to PA for a workout. I might be able to make it in the off season this winter. Especially to prep for Olympic qualification events coming up next season.

Appreciate all the great content from the 808. I do have a question though, in a previous video, I thought I saw you recommend another barbell besides Zhang Kong. Do share once again 🤙
I am not sure which bar I recommended, but there are a lot of great ones. ZKC has very high quality bars and are some of the best we've ever used, honestly. Being completely transparent we are working together now and they outfitted our gym with new barbells and equipment and we promote their equipment. We would not have partnered with them if they weren't the highest of quality. They outfitted the last 2 Olympic Games for a reason. It's up to you which you choose, but we do recommend ZKC over other brands. Hope that helps.

Who knows what kind of technology-driven equipment we might have by then - people will not believe people used to lift heavy objects attached to long bars to develop strength!! LOL!
Danes gym is, essentially, a RTC (regional training center) for world class athletes! The staff are all ultra-qualified athletes.
Can you imagine a 14 year old kid going in there and ending up training with world class champions? Being surrounded by greatness is only going to make you work harder and be even better. Iron sharpens iron! I've heard it said you should never be the strongest one in your gym...I understand that now. The norm for this gym is light-years above 99.99% of gyms. If you are competitive at all, there is no way you're going to putz around in Danes gym!
