    I throw my polished Absolute on the drier stuff and my Absolute Power on the fresh. I tend to avoid the friction so I can get somewhat similar shapes consistently.. Haven't needed to change the surface on my solid yet👍 been a nice 1 2 punch so far.. 600s easily with my first 700 a few weeks ago. Can't say anything bad about the balls as they do everything I need them to. You're right about them being sensitive to hand position and release tho.. very versatile from what I can tell👍 can even shoot my 10 pin with em😂 hope they make a pearl version soon🙏 my arsenal would be complete! Good stuff Scott ✌️💚

      Thanks for the input! They do make one hell of a 1-2 punch in a bag for sure. SPI keeps doing things right! Keep up the great bowling.

    Thanks for the video. I was having trouble deciding between these two. I think the Power would be a great complement to my Absolute. We bowl on a house shot that has a bit heavier oil than a typical one.

    Thank you Scott for this comparison! I don’t have a solid in my bag yet and I have been specifically eyeing these two..
    the harsh reality looks very promising as I am more speed dominant and looking for something strong that I can start out on fresh with.. I love my summit works well but I need a asymmetrical solid for the shape I’m looking for..

    Man that harsh reality looks awesome dude. Is this ball generally only suited for heavier oil / fresh? I want to build a strong arsenal but most my practice time is on BURNT AF lanes due to going very late after my kids go to sleep

      You can drill it and not always have to use it. That happens with most balls I drill in this category. I have a Gem I rarely use but when I can, boy do I love it!

    Thanks for the video. In choosing an arsenal for Nationals, what two would be best for the top of the bag between (Harsh Reality, Magic Gem, Absolute Power and Infinite Physix). Was thinking Magic Gem and Infinite Physix but interested to hear your thoughts. 300 rev/15 mph matched bowler.

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling  5 місяців тому +1

      Magic Gem or Harsh Reality would be the slowest in those choices. Slower balls that don’t react as quickly downlane are generally better on tougher conditions. I would try bringing a regular Gem if you could and then maybe a Phaze 2 as the ball down.

    My only problem with the harsh reality is it lane shines by game 6 and i rly have to hit it hard on the bottom. Otherwise the ball dies and hits the pocket way to soft.

    I was wondering if during your reviews maybe you could throw down the side a couple of times so we can see what they do there. I typically throw right up the side around the 10 board, give or take, with a back end hook. Thanks!!

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling  6 місяців тому +1

      The problem with showing that is that even though it’s where you like to play, my speed and my rev rate won’t match yours. I could get a ball to strike from anywhere, but that doesn’t mean it’ll look the same for me as it does for you. I do comparisons so you can at least have a barometer to go off of between two “similar” bowling balls if you already had one or were deciding between them.

    • @brendadarling6181
      @brendadarling6181 6 місяців тому +1

      @@ScottAndersonBowling Okay. Thank you for sharing your idea behind this decision. It's just difficult to find a ball reviewer that has a lower rev rate and throws without such a big hook. It's proving challenging to choose a ball because I throw different from the reviewers I've found so far. Thanks again for your time.

      I just got back into bowling after several years hiatus due to a health condition. The pro decided I needed to start back with a Storm Tropical Surge. I was doing pretty well with it having a 181 avg in league but it didn’t drive through the pins well. I went back to him and he suggested the new Zen Gold Label. My avg. is now dropping rapidly. It goes brooklyn side no matter where I seem to line up and throw it and I am not familiar with throwing cross lane except to pick up the 7 pin. (I’m a lefty.) I just feel like neither of the balls are right for my style and I really don’t want to keep dishing out money to try different balls until the right one comes along. My pro has obviously not made the correct recommendation yet. I feel drawn to the Absolute Power with a pin down drilling. Do you have any advice? Thanks for helping Scott. @@ScottAndersonBowling

    So for the typical house shot would you say a sublime is more usable than an absolute power?

    Hey Scott! Curious on to your opinion on this one. What would you recommend (ball and surface wise) for a player who’s averaging about 14.5 mph with a decent rev rate?

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling  6 місяців тому +1

      14.5 and decent rev rate means you probably need a clearer surface to help clear the front, especially if you’re using a solid. Absolute Power is the ball for you.

      The Eternity Pi fits right in between both for me. Not as early and smooth as the Harsh Reality but also not as clean and late as the Power.

      @@ScottAndersonBowling thanks Scott. I tend not to match up with big asym solids…I’ve had the Proton, Gem and Reality and didn’t match up with them. I like the shape of the AP as it is cleaner with a little more shape down lane than most big asyms.

    Your not doing a fair comparison if one ball is at 4000 and the other is at 2000. My abs.power ball is,at 1000 and that gives the ball a strong mid lane presence. When you want to throw the ball with more power in you throw,the 4000 grit goes way to long.
