Actually, while hard to follow, the guy does make sense. He's talking about a test he had, either an EEG or an EMG. It could have been done at a university, though probably not Stanford, and it was likely done by a doctor or technician. If the test came back positive for something, he could have received social security. The only part that didn't make sense was the part about his fillings.
SepherStar Especially if they were gold fillings, which are highly conductive, it could very well impact a emg test. It was a bit weird that we was fixating on what was likely an off hand comment by one of the technicians.
I've read quite a few arguments that amalgam fillings may cause a variety of physical and cognitive problems, and that's a topic that's becoming discussed more and more frequently. I wonder if that's what he was getting at. But it's also possible that it was just a fabrication of his own imagination. Hard to say without clear communication of thoughts.
2:41 I had more or less that same idea of a river to create electricity without a dam. I thought of an artificial rapid but with big 'shovels' in it. The rapid reaches the pic velocity in a high and relatively thin 'U' shape water passage... Some people want to make profit out of interesting people and I think that's unacceptable. Society is sick.
I agree with the other commenter; I don't see how this is "disorganized speech." He's just describing a brain-test he had. I know very little about medicine, so I don't know if this test he's describing is possible, or just a delusion. But either way, his speech is not incoherent. I can follow what he is saying.
+TheLegendaryBlackBeastOf Aaagh the reason why it doesn't sound disorganized is because people with schizophrenia aren't people who are hard to understand, they actually do make sense but its the words they use that are not appropriate for what he's saying. you may understand it but its kind of childish speaking. also they switch topics very fast without knowing it which he does a lot during the video. The stuff he says still makes sense and kind of goes together with what he's been talking about but he talks as if everyone knows what he's talking about at every moment when really only he knows what he's really saying and how everything he says relates
TheLegendaryBlackBeastOf Aaagh It's not the speech that's disorganized, it's more that he forgets what he's talking about for a second but keeps talking. Like with me, I completely forget what I'm talking about mid-sentence and can't remember to save my life. or I'll forget how to do things right before I go to do it.
What I don't understand is how the people who publish this online obtained permission to do so. He clearly cannot agree to any type of release of information or understand any release he would be signing. Was permission given by a guardian?
People with serious mental illness often have guardians to consent for things such as treatment plans. There is not a requirement of cognitive delay in order to have a guardian.
Come on, I was in same hospital, and up San Francisco, Mental Health, they can and do get permisson to even change meds. For instructional (rounds) videos like this it is also encouraged . ua-cam.com/video/VdzHl65XPYc/v-deo.html People Say I'm Crazy (1989) is a 56 minute award-winning color documentary produced by the California Network of Mental Health Clients. Jean Campbell, Ph.D., currently the Director of the Program in Consumer Studies and Training at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health, was principal investigator of the Well-Being Project and wrote and narrated the documentary. In People Say I'm Crazy the Well-Being Project statistics are brought into sharp personal focus by the mental health consumers who relate their experiences of mental illness and treatment by the traditional mental health system, and stories of their everyday lives. Interwoven though out the stories are scenes from a wide variety of peer-run programs. This documentary emphasizes the person, not the illness. It proclaims, "In a world of stigma, poverty and injustice, our voices illuminate the value of self-help, creativity, meaningful work and activity, and b
People with ADHD are also diagnosis with having same symptom. For instance, they're so hyper that their mind loses track of what they were thinking and/or talking about that they jump from one topic to a completely different topic altogether. So wth is the difference?
Yeh, think of the guy in town that shouts sentences that make no sense at full volume to an invisible friend because that imagined friend is insulting him and other things like this for over 6 months straight... That would be an extreme case of schizophrenia.
I was misdiagnosed with ADD 😥 Well it was kinda obvious I didn't have ADD because disorganised schizophrenia is like ADD but then MUCH DAMN WORSE. (And with delusional thoughts and hallucinations ofc). It is impossible to live with tho.. no one understands it and everyone blames you for forgetting things or that you can't concentrate and stuff.
His speech is slurring, and he appears overly relaxed, it seems less characteristic of word salad alone, but rather seems as if he's being treated with hefty dosages of atypical antipsychotics. It sounds as if the effort is drained from his very speech.
His generator thing was poorly explained, by I see what he’s talking about. It would not only break fundamental laws of thermodynamics however, but break the law of conservation of energy. He was basically describing an over complicated flywheel that could magically produce energy from nothing, where as in reality, the generators would just slow down until they eventually stopped. It would theoretically be possible in a perfect system (which doesn’t exist) for them to spin forever. You would not, however, be able to use any of the energy, as they would still not be able to produce any, and using the energy would slow them down. If I knew so little of physics and had an idea like that, it would drive me crazy too. Could make a really weird battery, however.
It is curable. In my experience, what i see helps me to relax my mind is, exercising often, eating healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, drinking a lot of water, going out for a walk to take the mind off things and not focusing too much on things especially things that make you think too much, like worries, projects, research, etc I'm a thinker of the highest degree, i know what that guy is feeling like to some degree because i find i do the same thing at night before sleeping. It's funny
Disorganized schizophrenia is a result of dysfunctional/ damaged prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for executive functioning. Schizophrenia is also characterized by enlarged ventricles, which basically means that the ventricles are getting larger and ousting other vital parts of the brain. It is not a joke, but a problem with several areas of the brain.
I still go through this type of rambling of thoughts myself... i don't think it's really an incurable mental dis-order, i think it's the effect of not being able to process a lot of information all at once within a sentence. At night when i have many thoughts and my brain waves shift as i am preparing to sleep, i end up forgetting what i'm saying to myself while i'm trying to say something. It's like when someone real tired is trying to say something, but it comes out not making sense.
I really had no trouble understanding him at all. He's delusional, sure, but from the start to 2:35, he didn't change topic once. He spoke with a level of organization similar to the average person. Either I'm a genius, or this clip is a bad example. Maybe he is worse other days, and this is a good day for him.
What the interviewer doesn't know is that he is describing a type of EEG which uses needles to make direct contact on the skull, the little barbs were puncture wounds. He even describes the Cz electrode they put in sideways as the reference electrode, which is advised against. It's mix between truth and perceptual distortions. They were after the data, an EEG of that type is somewhat atypical. This is why they made up some bullshit to get him to go along with it.
oh free energy... just what we need to change the world and the way energy is ran today. This guy is just exhausted that's why his mind has become disorganized.. I can relate to that. He may just have an overload of psychic energy in his mind and that's why his thoughts are jumbling... what he talks about makes sense though. Science and Spirituality should come together... both things have different names for the same phenomena.
What i really think is that this guy thinks too much... too many ideas come to him to the point that he can't think one thought clearly because he has many thoughts coming to him almost at the same time. He is not grounded in the reality because he's too much in his head... What would help him is probably exercising, doing something physical that would help him to relax from the mind for a while.
"Tv tooth", he is just trying to explain it, alot of people do that when it happens, but it doesn't mean that no one is talking to him. Two things id like to know, how many spirits are there and what are they capable of, and how far has technology really gotten amongst people at this point.
Lol did he really make a "General Electric Energy Generator" poster? Sounds pretty legit except he has a bunch of extra unnecessary objects and mechanisms 😂😂 awesome thinking though his mind could land some wild new electrical thoughts
This seems a little disorganized.... idk my client way more disorganized will talk about different things instantanously every 8seconds..... disorganize speech usually transitions from subject to subject right? Usually you dont see a client talk about one thing tangientally for over 2 min. THis guy is talking about this thing for already 2 min and is some what coherent..... I guess there is different levels of disorganized speech
Jacob Palmer I can tell this guy is struggling to put his thoughts together. You can see it in his face that the thoughts are there but he is losothem and misplacing them and he seems mildly agitated that his brain is letting him down.
Have you ever studied spirituality and free energy devices? Western medicine is so quick to give someone a label, not knowing all things can be healed even mental illness. They are so quick to put a bandaid on illness when everything goes deeper than that. What you eat plays a big role in mental health, so does sleep and whether you get enough sunlight. This guy here seems to be the type to have racing thoughts at night, a symptom I once had but I healed by using crystals and a different diet.
Is this a joke? His language is comprehensible. The perpetual motion thing might be odd, but there tons of people out there with false beliefs. His "loose" association was just an attempt at humor. A machine that presumably runs on perpetual motion can very well use rest. I think it's kind of funny, actually. Not a very helpful video, really.
This is not disorganized schizophrenia. He's definitely delusional but not disorganized.
rsamboragal Agreed.
I agreed👍this is not disorganized schizophrenia.

I assumed he was talking about something similar to how fillings look on a dental x-ray, but idk a whole lot about that stuff.
I understood the patient more than i understand all the comments on youtube
HahHa wow. This got me. For real
this man sounds like a 60 yr old in america getting ready for election
BAHAHAHAHA
I went too that company as well. Still never received the social security benifits I was guaranteed.
hgkjhgh mnbhjhg why you got schizophrenia
1:59 i think he have disorganized Heberfriac schizophrenia
2:41 I had more or less that same idea of a river to create electricity without a dam. I thought of an artificial rapid but with big 'shovels' in it. The rapid reaches the pic velocity in a high and relatively thin 'U' shape water passage...
Some people want to make profit out of interesting people and I think that's unacceptable. Society is sick.
so...he had an EEG (electroencephelograph) and read the wrong thing into it.
I agree with the other commenter; I don't see how this is "disorganized speech." He's just describing a brain-test he had. I know very little about medicine, so I don't know if this test he's describing is possible, or just a delusion. But either way, his speech is not incoherent. I can follow what he is saying.
Zona Rosa Yeah same. Perhaps this characterization has more to do with the interviewer's low verbal IQ.

This is what people mean by “bat shit crazy”! Wow I couldn’t imagine not being able to communicate.
Indeed, but almost all with schizophrenia would understand what they are signing
+Jake Walsh No they wouldn't. They really wouldn't

Delusions, hallucinations, disconnect from reality etc...
Probably not hyper and may not lack attention.
The disorganized speech in schizophrenia is MUCH more severe and impairing

@AppleThorn Records word salad refers to the disorganized speech patterns often found in schizophrenics.
His speech is not totally disjointed like they tried to explain hes office rocker but hes perfectly capable of communicating
He’s describing electro shock therapy
yea that would be the technical term for what it is.
He looks more normal than me.
There's a thin line between crazy and genius, sometimes we play jump rope with the line simply to entertain ourselves.

Some people just aren't naturally good at telling stories. I don't understand how that means they have a mental disorder.
when it becomes disfunctional to gainful employment and dating he has a disorder.
Okay, I'm sorry, but put on the subtitles.
