That's how I vend at conventions. My dad joins me and he goes to get the food and reminds me to take a break. I do pretty good at the conventions I sell at. Did $400 at a recent small convention and then did $2k at another convention that I was there for two days and before that did $150 when I first gave it a shot. I'm not sure how close you live to Northern Virginia being in West Virginia, but we have some good conventions out here.

I'm 45 yrs old now so I was lucky enough to be there live to see the explosion of bands like Pantera who I've seen more than a dozen times and have gotten to meet as well. I bring them up because White Zombie often toured with Pantera back then so I got to see them alot too but I've never seen Rob Zombie and him preform those songs. I know he's an excellent artist as well. I'm pretty sure his artwork was the backdrop of the headbangers ball set when he hosted it on MTV back when they actually played music videos on the channel. The good ol days you could say.

I’ve always maintained that there really is a good comic book community when removing the internet factor. Local comic shows are where it’s at; not giant pop culture conventions or cross country, traveling road shows.
Also, *I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR CONVENTION EXCLUSIVE, BLACK & WHITE, VIRGIN, FOIL COVER COMIC THAT IS “LIMITED” TO 3000 COPIES!*

Look around that room. Look at how FEW comics and comic dealers there are. Tells you a lot about the state of the hobby. Boxes and boxes of junk they can't get rid of at half the price. And that high-end GA collection "sold everything" cause he got out and is gone. No future in this business.
The event was NOT a comic con, but a pop culture con. It had a variety of different vendors but was not exclusive to comic books.
