Repartition can also be used to decrease the number of partitions but coalesce is preferred as it involves less no of shufflings.
No..actually coalesce avoids shuffling by merging the partitions belonging on same nodes..instead of shuffling across different nodes

it will be harder than this.. this is good for 2-3 years overall experience
