Super interesting construction on that... I think I have a couple drives from this family myself. One is 1 GB and the other is 9 GB. They're both the 50-pin SCSI versions.
@fft2020 Yep. That happens to me with A Seagate Momentus 640gb and a Toshiba 2.5 inch 500gb. They all failed, clicking, or not powering on. Hard Disk Sentinel the last time they were powered on was that they were both 7% bad and over 465 bad sectors on the 500gb one and I can't remember what the 2nd one is.
No I know you're watching look at the empty space in that zero the letter basis and the rotation and the change of it I mean if they don't want that concept of those things I'd like to have it
I’m going back in a little while I got a couple of errands done I got a little something for the boys and I have a couple things for the girls and I will bring some of those for them and I’ll get you some of them.
Love the construction of this one! Nice drive! Huge shame it's dead, but seeing it in action was cool.
the way it moves feels like its animated footage.

HP, Miniscribe and Siemens all built drives with somewhat similar half-shell construction.
Too bad about that one...this was one of their better drives from that period.
Such footage from ibm hard drive, Simple as recordable writer?
i think some of the disk are missing
No , the drive is supposed to look like that
How "Dead" is it?
99% bad sectors.
@@windisk1112 holly crap! is that even possible ?

I've had a couple IBM drives that looked like this, they're the only drives I've ever been directly injured by. They all break.
Glass platters?
@@randomyt666 No I don't think these used glass platters. I believe the DGHS drives did, though.
neat!
Heh, doesn't even run the HDMotion properly. It's functionally dead!

I'd like to use it or even if I have to license without certain things coming out of it
