Sometimes, it can be harder to forgive ourselves than it is to forgive others. Isn’t that interesting? It’s almost like we sort of think (subconsciously) that everyone deserves mercy but us. I’ve heard it said that there is a difference between believing in Christ and believing Christ. (Believing what he did applies to us.) That thought made a difference to me.
Rozanne, I agree! That we can have mercy and grace for someone else but think Christ didn’t extend that same mercy and grace to us! And I love that about believing in Christ compared to believing Christ! That is powerful!!!🥰
Hello my sweet friend!😊God Is truly amazing! He gives grace so freely! I ask God to forgive me of all sins everyday. But of course if there's something I've done that i know is wrong I stop and ask for forgiveness of that right then. Because if we do something wrong & know its wrong & don't go to the Lord & just walk around with it.. that gives the devil a complete playing field! I've been guilty of it, and it's rough dealing with what the devil throws at you! But I try not to do that, i try to go to the Lord & get that forgiveness! There's nothing but stubbornness stopping us from asking God to forgive us! Another thing I try to do is when I'm convicted of something i talk to the Lord & try to realize why I'm being convicted so i can clear that conviction up. So many times we walk around convicted for a very long time & it eats & knaws at us.. I've been there. But I guess I've gotten wiser in my old age & deal with any convictions right away! Tammy, I so love your insights!!! Yes, as soon as we feel that conviction, best to talk it over with God and ask repentance so we can be right relationship with Him. And I would not want to ignore the Holy Ghost prompting me, then have my conscience seared and open myself to more sins and deeper gulf between me and God😟 the chapter I read for next week really has me thinking. Such a deep book🥰
