Jesse, Kasim + Todd mske on of the best band ever, especially since Utopia 💯 my favorite version of this song 👏 great feel + guitar work 🎸 + Todd is very entertaining as always ✨️🎶 Rock on ☆♡☆
Bravo Todd. I never imagined there could be a good cover of this, much less that you would be the one to do it, but you did. Thanks for keeping us awake. Cheers from snowy Vienna, Scott
i haven't heard this in a very long time - my lifestyle has changed a lot since it was a personally relevant tune but i still enjoy the song and love the way todd adopts a hint of a country accent as he sings it
by the way, my screen name is a tribute to tr, and the band that did 'walk on the water', and my own medical history when i had a wisdom tooth extracted
@@toddthedrysocket Saw Todd & his band back when the Hard Rock Casino had "The Joint." It was one of my favorite shows ever. up there with Roger Waters @ the Hollywood Bowl, Yes @ Wembley, and The Tubes @ SF's Palace of Fine Arts. And you are so spot on, Todd's vocals on this are as intoxicating... as the weed. His wife runs a Tiki Bar on Kauai, where they live -- worth checking out when you are in Princeville.
I was looking at that excellent guitar player at the beginning.... thinking "you're counting it off too fast"... and sure enough, Todd caught it in time. 😎
... according to Fraternity of Man singer Larry "Snatch" Wagner, the phrase came from (impatient : ) guitarist Winged Elliott Fingerling Ingber who also slyly suggested that they do the song "country so they would never see it coming!"
"Bogart"... as in Humphrey Bogart, the actor...who has been seen in numerous films with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, until it almost burns his lips...
The term back as we knew it in the late '60s meant hogging something all to yourself and not sharing it. It just wasn't cool to smoke a doobie (aka: joint) in the company of others and not share it. LOL!
One of the Coolest Country Songs i ever sang along with✌🏼
The guitarist's mastery of the tremolo bar ! Sounds just like a pedal steel 😲😎
That would be the wizardry of Jesse Gress, Guitar Player Magazine editor, author of several books and Todd's right hand for the past 30 yrs.
Absolutely fanfuckingtastic!
God bless this man.
Said as an atheist.
Fun version, great band 💯
Love it, Rocklove Todd ❤🎶

La tocola es lo mejor.
This is great! Make sure you roll one for foamy!
Enrolà otro.
Dane la tocola que es lo mejor.....
And it's 4:20 long
Actually it was written as a parody of a country song. Great Red Rhodes'ish "pedal steel" guitar playing here!

Little Feat - Frat of Man - I'm sure todd is very familiar with those two references…Great music from another time and space…
Anyone know what bougard means?
