Sky cloud studio it’s a tough call, I heard the cat has been limited as to what it can carry! But the cat definitely doesn’t tip as easily! I’d say this is faster than the cat but not by much! I’d have to test the cat out with the quarry hill tests and stuff as I didn’t do them back when I reviewed that, but both are very capable across stuff like the black river crossing etc! Put it this way, before this review, I’d have said the Cat all day long, now I’m honestly not so sure, I think it would depend on the map and terrain and route I’m taking, if it was a very hilly bumpy route, I’d take the cat, if it’s relatively flat or at least not crazy angle changes then I’d probably take this thing 👍🏻
@@itsmrlonewolf what I'd say in the CAT's defence is that it can carry the fuel tank, which gives it far better utility in my mind compared to this. If the Azov had a loading crane or maintenance add-on (but not fuel), it would give it a reason to be considered for some jobs. But even though it gets through crazy mud, the flat/sideboard bed just doesn't give me enough utility. :(

I’m not sure if I was just so disappointed about it, I had very low expectations making this, or if the steering has helped enough that I could hack it long enough to try different terrains etc but yeah I don’t think it’s the worst, but far from the best, particularly for that much money, it should be like the money for how it is now! Like the Derry it should be awesome but it’s not, however it does handle deep mud and snow fine and it seems like that new lake Kovd is more it’s kind of map! It’s still an expensive toy and I wouldn’t recommend it as such but if you have £200k spare and own plenty of other beasts then it might be worth getting for a day or 2 and having a little play around! It needs diffs always on and more power and stronger articulated steering to be asking the kind of money it is 👍🏻! The truck is made so narrow so it can fit on normal streets in Rusia :) Also in the back is a Shower and toilet with 2x beds for two people to sleep, a 3rd person could sleep in the driver cabine. The cabine itself can be removed from the Truck and used as a tiny house ( you need another expedision vehicule with a crane for that).

Yeah they’re crap on this game! The cranes are too weak as well! Hydraulics should be immense lol! In real life they crush cars with it, lift cranes, jack ships up and even the massive low loader oversized cargo trailers have hydraulic self levelling wheels etc! It should be strong enough in this game that if you did it next to a tree, it would either knock the tree over or push you sideways 👍🏻! It’s not even like it would be some OP mechanic of the game lol, it’s just steering haha

Yeah I fully agree dude! The articulation is too weak in this game! And yeah I mentioned the cabin weight but I think I said it better in the first recording that I accidentally deleted lol, basically it’s a cabin that’s probably fibreglass and won’t weigh sod all! The only things over the chassis are that cab and drivers cab, but that part is seats and air! This truck should be incredibly weighty low down more like the Tayga is with the custom muds! And again I don’t know why they punish things like this so much when it’s basically the end truck you can get! If it had S+ power, diffs always on, and the articulation was sorted then it would be a bloody good truck and worth the money! As is it’s too expensive to recommend, but at the same time I do kinda want to keep it which surprised me lol 👍🏻

I was having that problem with the freightliner m916, til i changed the steering to wheel. Still turns slower then id like, but its a hell of a truck. Damn things a beast, especially on ice. Was doing missions with a flatbed in kovd last night. Side board seems to get its corners hung up in the winch rig behind the cab. I really wish i could take that off. This thing is reminding me of the cat something fierce. Trailers are nice. Hopefully they'll fix that ramped trailer. Definitely agree... Noticed the steering was weak with the cat. Ought to be able to snap trees for god sake. Thing got hung up on movable rocks on the floor and couldnt move em just steering... Ought to stick you on my f350 at home... That powerstroke corners like its on rails thanks ti the duals. Flipping a dually is pretty much lethal. Lol takes a lot. Also, the prototype trailer radar thing makes an interesting sled in deep snow behind the Yar. Frakin thing floats in deep snow...tires stop turnin and everything. Reminds me, the freight m9, when ya get her nose buried in the ice, shes light enough to winch to the trailer. The landing gear digs in enough to hold still. Pulled myself backwards far enough hooking and dropping the trailer twice for the duals to grab enough to back out of the hole BM 17 has the same snorkel issue. Just dawns on me, you've not reviewed the TUZ 166...is it lo4f trained and approved? Lol
Yeah it certainly feels more at home on that map! I just wish they’d either add ice chains or the same muds but with ice studs in them so it grips on ice properly! But yeah it goes through the ice nicely and I’d happily attempt some missions with it! In fact I might lol 👍🏻

The added weight makes it go thru the snowbanks and ice like nothing deep snow is nothing for those 71 inch mudders on it.

I prefer the Cat myself as that doesn't get stuck in the ice easily and it's wider and lower so less likely to flip and I don't use it to move cargo but move cargo trucks that are stuck On the hydrolic vehicle I think might be the viking your thinking of. The Royal has broken snorkel which is fixed on the new PTS. Also they're adding a winch point in the middle of the roof of scouts so it's easier to lift them with a crane.

The flip-cap exhaust produces the least amounts of smoke! The stock one just direct the smoke to the right side, if you want to get the most out of the screen I would have gone for the flip-cap one.
It honestly doesn’t dude or at least not on PS4, I tested them last night before this review and then I tested them earlier and if anything I’d say the flat cap produces more smoke that stays more dense, and it also sprays it directly into where I’m looking, the stock on is slightly less smokey and it’s close but it’s just off to the side of the view over the top of the Azov 👍🏻! People have mentioned different smoke on PC etc so it could be that but for me the stock is best on both counts dude
First off I just wanna thank you Lonewolf for all this great content, love what you’re doing and really appreciate it as well. In this video you were talking about how the middle wheel spin more often. I noticed at 22:58, that when the vehicle was articulated to the right when you engaged the diff lock it showed a strange line of power to each wheel. Then a bit later when the vehicle was straight with no articulation you engaged the diff lock and it looked normal. My question is do you think when the vehicle is articulating One Direction or another the diff locks really aren’t working?
Looking back the twin steer review was 25 mins with the new imandria map. (It’s not called Africanda) the is officially getting AWD will you review it again? Also truck w Broken snorkel was bm17 I looked at 7.0 patch notes and it said the snorkel was fixed.
Yeah If it gets a significant upgrade like that then I’ll happily test it again dude! Ahhh haha when people said Afrikanda I thought surely they wouldn’t call it that, but a few people said the same! It’s Mr Lone Wolf I think they need a certain amount of bug fix notices and most people prob don’t use the full snorkel. Also I spelled the map name wrong its actually spelled “imandra” there will be like some hydrolic suspensions that will be pretty cool and you will be able to customize the interior with bobble heads,air fresheners and stickers on the dash.

This truck solo explored all of Imandra the first time I played the game. Definitely not useless. Favourite looking vehicle too, and my top pick if I could have any of the vehicles irl. Just a shame it requires such a high level. Played over 70 hours now on my second playthrough and still over 10 000 rep from being able to own one.
I really liked that truck but you are right the articulation isn’t strong enough. Like the cat it would go nearly anywhere but if you get it buried in mud you have no way to steer back and forth to get more traction. I also noticed it was very easy to tip when making a tight turn.
I lock the diff in my real life H2 in ice every winter. It helps alot, and doesn't damage anything. I think the diffs in snowrunner are coded to be damaged if driven on all hard surfaces, including ice. Seems weird
wait what? I havent't watched the whole video but have you ever tried hauling things uphill with it? last time I tried it, it failed at a rather small angle, in the quarry (not on the 45 degree angle slope, but on the road) with just 1 sideboard of cargo in it. That's why I didn't ever use it!

With the CAT and this things tires I went with the most expensive MSH III tires. Seems logical that those tires cost the most for a reason. Threads also don't matter in this game. According to this game the MSH IV also count as a mud tire, and there is no way that tire with that thread is anything remotely close to a mud tire. Is it a tractor tire? Yes. But it's at best a All-Terrain tire, maybe offroad if you really want to stretch it. But it's nowhere remotely close to a mud tire. However here it is in the game, with mud tire stats in the mud tire class because the devs have no idea what a mud tire is apparently.
Not sure what threads have to do with the traction of a tire. If there are threads in a tire at all they are located under the TREADS, which along with compound, pressure, width, and contact patch, determine traction. Sometimes threads are put in the rubber of a tire as a wear indicator for the TREADS. If you see thread, it’s time for new tires.
Haha I was already thinking the same thing dude about 12 seconds after I finished ramming them lol 👍🏻! By far the most fun tree test and a much more “level playing field” so to speak! I’ll be trying some things over the next few days and at some point I’ll have a video on all the worthy trucks that have a chance 👍🏻! I don’t think so dude? You definitely need to be higher than level 12 for it, it was in the mid 20’s I believe! But you should at least be able to see it in your truck store? It’s a Russian vehicle so it’ll be at the start of the Russian section! They’re in alphabetical order, but it splits them into American and Russian so if you use the truck store in an American map then all the russian stuff is further along the list! Hope you find it 👍🏻! Enjoy the game dude, the drowned lands container contest from the train station to the saw mill is doable every 4 minutes odd repeatably, and you’ll get 570xp or something and £5,600 so plenty an hour and can level you up quicker if you want 👍🏻! Yeah it’s not the best for rolling, don’t think it’s quite as bad as the Voron D was yesterday, but it wasn’t much better! A shame really as it should be a beast for the money
It’s Mr Lone Wolf yeah it’s like a worse but better version of the cat 745c because this can carry trailers but the cat is wide and harder to roll but it can’t have trailers, I like both of them equally.
I kept trying to use it. The SLOW steering killed me, and the constant rolling over (also being so heavy it is immediately written off) was what made me sell it. I remember going downhill, hitting a pothole and it curled up like a roly poly and laid on its side... Going straight. I sold it and bought the cat back and never looked back.
Yeah the tyres are great! As for the steering, when was the last time you used it? Because a month or 2 ago it was terrible! If you set your steering to steering wheel instead of game pad, it makes the steering quicker and it’s not that bad now! If you’ve not tried it for a while, and have the money at any point, it might be worth a quick go and see, if not just sell it back 👍🏻!
Well I used to think that and tested them a month odd ago and that seemed to be the case! But then I tested them just before the Kovd update and they were honestly just not consistent? Sometimes with the big crane, the stock winch lifted the loaf at full extension, and at times the strongest winch wouldn’t do it? But vice versa was the case sometimes? I just couldn’t get anything to work consistently to make a video on it, it seemed to be pot luck! And then since then the cranes seem even more buggy, the small crane seems to be fully extending on its own sometimes and then fully extended it can’t lift! They’re just awkward at the minute for some reason? I’ll test them again at some point and see if I have any luck! I’d like to make a video on the cranes but yeah I’d like to have more info than I don’t know what’s going on lol 👍🏻
Well I don’t agree dude, it’s also first gear second gear etc but you don’t say gear first, even though you’re shifting into a gear, not a first! I believe my way makes more sense, the same as if there was 3 people to choose from, short medium and tall, I’d say the tall person, not the person tall! The first word is a description of the second word, hence why high low makes more sense, it’s the high option in the low range! Low high sounds like a low option in the high gear to me! Change low to crawler gear, I’d say I’m in the high crawler gear, not the crawler high gear, again, sounds like a crawler version of the high gear, rather than the high version of a crawler gear! You say it how you like though dude but I’ll stick with my way 👍🏻

I used the azov Antarctic in lake kovid best truck I had in the dlc phase 1 map so far.

I love this rig. It pulls thru in just about any situation, helps that you can pull a trailer behind it too.
I prefer the Cat myself as that doesn't get stuck in the ice easily and it's wider and lower so less likely to flip and I don't use it to move cargo but move cargo trucks that are stuck
On the hydrolic vehicle I think might be the viking your thinking of.
The Royal has broken snorkel which is fixed on the new PTS.
Also they're adding a winch point in the middle of the roof of scouts so it's easier to lift them with a crane.

They should give it chained option, there’s massive two car wide front end loaders in japan that clear snow every morning in hakuba and those massive tyres have chains on them so this could easily
The flip-cap exhaust produces the least amounts of smoke! The stock one just direct the smoke to the right side, if you want to get the most out of the screen I would have gone for the flip-cap one.
It honestly doesn’t dude or at least not on PS4, I tested them last night before this review and then I tested them earlier and if anything I’d say the flat cap produces more smoke that stays more dense, and it also sprays it directly into where I’m looking, the stock on is slightly less smokey and it’s close but it’s just off to the side of the view over the top of the Azov 👍🏻! People have mentioned different smoke on PC etc so it could be that but for me the stock is best on both counts dude
First off I just wanna thank you Lonewolf for all this great content, love what you’re doing and really appreciate it as well. In this video you were talking about how the middle wheel spin more often. I noticed at 22:58, that when the vehicle was articulated to the right when you engaged the diff lock it showed a strange line of power to each wheel. Then a bit later when the vehicle was straight with no articulation you engaged the diff lock and it looked normal. My question is do you think when the vehicle is articulating One Direction or another the diff locks really aren’t working?

Looking back the twin steer review was 25 mins with the new imandria map. (It’s not called Africanda) the is officially getting AWD will you review it again? Also truck w Broken snorkel was bm17 I looked at 7.0 patch notes and it said the snorkel was fixed.

It’s Mr Lone Wolf I think they need a certain amount of bug fix notices and most people prob don’t use the full snorkel. Also I spelled the map name wrong its actually spelled “imandra” there will be like some hydrolic suspensions that will be pretty cool and you will be able to customize the interior with bobble heads,air fresheners and stickers on the dash.

This truck solo explored all of Imandra the first time I played the game. Definitely not useless. Favourite looking vehicle too, and my top pick if I could have any of the vehicles irl. Just a shame it requires such a high level. Played over 70 hours now on my second playthrough and still over 10 000 rep from being able to own one.
Msh 2 tires are best
Also look up the company called MOL they make plenty of haulers good for this game with 71 inch tires
I really liked that truck but you are right the articulation isn’t strong enough. Like the cat it would go nearly anywhere but if you get it buried in mud you have no way to steer back and forth to get more traction. I also noticed it was very easy to tip when making a tight turn.
I lock the diff in my real life H2 in ice every winter. It helps alot, and doesn't damage anything. I think the diffs in snowrunner are coded to be damaged if driven on all hard surfaces, including ice. Seems weird

Yeah dads aren’t always the best, but sticking the tunes on and forgetting about it certainly helps 👍🏻
wait what? I havent't watched the whole video but have you ever tried hauling things uphill with it? last time I tried it, it failed at a rather small angle, in the quarry (not on the 45 degree angle slope, but on the road) with just 1 sideboard of cargo in it. That's why I didn't ever use it!
I’m not sure if it’s had some kind of stealth boost by the devs or what but I could swear it was shitter last time I used it too lol! Was not keen on testing it but I have to say it surprised me! Yes it’s not the best and it’s too expensive for what you get but it’s not that bad! If it had diffs always on, a bit more power, and a bit wider or not weight in that cab on its back etc then it would be a bloody good truck I reckon. I think it’s definitely better than the Derry so it’s a start lol 👍🏻

With the CAT and this things tires I went with the most expensive MSH III tires. Seems logical that those tires cost the most for a reason.
Threads also don't matter in this game. According to this game the MSH IV also count as a mud tire, and there is no way that tire with that thread is anything remotely close to a mud tire. Is it a tractor tire? Yes. But it's at best a All-Terrain tire, maybe offroad if you really want to stretch it. But it's nowhere remotely close to a mud tire.
However here it is in the game, with mud tire stats in the mud tire class because the devs have no idea what a mud tire is apparently.
Not sure what threads have to do with the traction of a tire. If there are threads in a tire at all they are located under the TREADS, which along with compound, pressure, width, and contact patch, determine traction. Sometimes threads are put in the rubber of a tire as a wear indicator for the TREADS. If you see thread, it’s time for new tires.

Haha I was already thinking the same thing dude about 12 seconds after I finished ramming them lol 👍🏻! By far the most fun tree test and a much more “level playing field” so to speak! I’ll be trying some things over the next few days and at some point I’ll have a video on all the worthy trucks that have a chance 👍🏻! Maybe the odd one that doesn’t but I’ll have to map reset each time so the ones that have no hope past 1 there’s not much point lol

Longhorn 3194. It now has always on diff lock. Before it only had AWD. The drop axle still gets in the way. But the diff helps.

I don’t think so dude? You definitely need to be higher than level 12 for it, it was in the mid 20’s I believe! But you should at least be able to see it in your truck store? It’s a Russian vehicle so it’ll be at the start of the Russian section! They’re in alphabetical order, but it splits them into American and Russian so if you use the truck store in an American map then all the russian stuff is further along the list! Hope you find it 👍🏻!
Enjoy the game dude, the drowned lands container contest from the train station to the saw mill is doable every 4 minutes odd repeatably, and you’ll get 570xp or something and £5,600 so plenty an hour and can level you up quicker if you want 👍🏻! Thanks dude I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos!

I really like the look of this truck but the problem is it rolls too much.
Yeah it’s not the best for rolling, don’t think it’s quite as bad as the Voron D was yesterday, but it wasn’t much better! A shame really as it should be a beast for the money
It’s Mr Lone Wolf yeah it’s like a worse but better version of the cat 745c because this can carry trailers but the cat is wide and harder to roll but it can’t have trailers, I like both of them equally.
I kept trying to use it. The SLOW steering killed me, and the constant rolling over (also being so heavy it is immediately written off) was what made me sell it.
I remember going downhill, hitting a pothole and it curled up like a roly poly and laid on its side... Going straight. I sold it and bought the cat back and never looked back.

Yeah the tyres are great! As for the steering, when was the last time you used it? Because a month or 2 ago it was terrible! If you set your steering to steering wheel instead of game pad, it makes the steering quicker and it’s not that bad now! If you’ve not tried it for a while, and have the money at any point, it might be worth a quick go and see, if not just sell it back 👍🏻!

Well I used to think that and tested them a month odd ago and that seemed to be the case! But then I tested them just before the Kovd update and they were honestly just not consistent? Sometimes with the big crane, the stock winch lifted the loaf at full extension, and at times the strongest winch wouldn’t do it? But vice versa was the case sometimes? I just couldn’t get anything to work consistently to make a video on it, it seemed to be pot luck!
And then since then the cranes seem even more buggy, the small crane seems to be fully extending on its own sometimes and then fully extended it can’t lift! They’re just awkward at the minute for some reason? I’ll test them again at some point and see if I have any luck! I’d like to make a video on the cranes but yeah I’d like to have more info than I don’t know what’s going on lol 👍🏻

Well I don’t agree dude, it’s also first gear second gear etc but you don’t say gear first, even though you’re shifting into a gear, not a first! I believe my way makes more sense, the same as if there was 3 people to choose from, short medium and tall, I’d say the tall person, not the person tall! The first word is a description of the second word, hence why high low makes more sense, it’s the high option in the low range!
Low high sounds like a low option in the high gear to me! Change low to crawler gear, I’d say I’m in the high crawler gear, not the crawler high gear, again, sounds like a crawler version of the high gear, rather than the high version of a crawler gear!

I honestly don't like this truck cuz it has a swivel frame, those are the annoyingest trucks ever, I tried this truck and it has a bad turning radius too. I just couldn't stand this truck.
