    My friend got some of that stuff the other day. We dipped lightbulbs, a screwdriver, bits of dried up ivy and anything else that wasn't nailed down! Cool stuff, looks really good on the antler there bud. Peace:)

    What kind of spray paint do you use. And do you add anything to the water??

    • @lexxcinci
      @lexxcinci  3 роки тому

      Hello! I personally just used any spray paint, but most commonly used Rust-Oleum. You’ll probably want to make sure they are the same level of gloss, but I still mixed matte and gloss sometimes and it still looked good! Also nope I don’t add anything to the water! There are probably better ways to do it but this way works just as well for me and my needs! ☺️ You also might want to use gloves if you think your hands will go into the water at all, I made the mistake of not wearing any and had paint all over my hands! 😮

    Hi How are you ??
    This is really nice!! I just tried dipping a balloon ounce put the paint wouldn't adhere to the balloon, It just like formed spots of paint here and there and that's it... Can you try a balloon to see what I did wrong ?? Also I noticed that some of my paint had primer and some other not. Could that be the problem ?? Thank you very much !!

    • @lexxcinci
      @lexxcinci  3 роки тому

      Hello! Wow, a balloon? 😱 I can definitely try it. I would have to tests some stuff out, but I’d assume the best way to do it is it to be aired up where you want it, and that would be very tricky to fully submerge it so you may have to roll it along the top of the water. I’d also suggest adding a layer or two of spray paint on it before trying to hydro dip it, so that the dip has something more to adhere to and won’t loose any of the designs by dipping it more than once. Also I don’t see why the primer would be an issue in the situation, but when spraying the balloon down first primer might help. I hope any of this helps! And I’ll update you if I upload a video about it! 😊

    Is paint sprayed in water?

  • @dustinkramer8278
    @dustinkramer8278 3 роки тому +2

    I’ve tried this a few times and my paints dries so fast. I was using enamel. I did 1 successfully terra cotta pot and gave up 😂.

    • @dustinkramer8278
      @dustinkramer8278 3 роки тому +1

      Spray paint looks a lot easier only using water and not the mixure needed for the enamel paints.

    • @lexxcinci
      @lexxcinci  3 роки тому

      Hey at least ya got one terra cotta pot to work! 😁 yeah I’m by no means a professional with this stuff, I just test things out and see what happens! With the few hydro dips I’ve tried, I never had an issue with the paint being too dry. I do need to try to make some more stuff this way tho! 😊

      Do people not know that deers shed their antlers every year? You can go out in the woods in the winter and just stumble upon loads of them. Please do your research before deciding to start rumors. Don’t worry this antler was acquired humanely. Thank you for the concern tho. ☺️

      🤣 as stated in another comment, deers she’d their antlers every year, I did not kill a deer I acquired the antler humanely. Also you say I’m polluting but you realize your using a phone right now? Literally just another form of pollution to the environment. I am careful in the things I do.
