My favorite driver in Formula 1 now favorite in Indycar with Graham Rahal included. Also my favorite private pilot. G58 is an awesome plane and I hope to have a used one someday. Keep on Keeping on. Best of luck next race.
This is interesting to watch because it helps me to understand the risk of pilot disorientation when flying in cloudy conditions. At 1:20 I can understand how a pilot might have difficulty differentiating between up and down, without referring to the instruments. Personally I have no desire to become a pilot, but I have always been interested in flying.
As a professional pilot firstly - love the plane great avionics set up. Secondly, be careful mate. I cringe at times seeing guys jump straight into IFR flying just because they can afford to. Especially flying light twins. Bush flying in Australia with a fresh CPL and I wasn't allowed to get onto the Baron until I had at least 500 hours and a wet season flying 206s under my belt. Even going to the 441 required 1000 total.
0 to 175 hrs and all those ratings in 6 months?!? Wow! You are flying your butt off. And well done mastering the most important part of being a pilot…..sounding cool on the radios. 😁
What a strange looking race car
Fast tho :)
@@RomainGrosjean8 which is faster, the DW-12 or the Baron?
DW-12!!!
I must admit that Romain seams extremely proficient and routined when flying, almost like he has been doing it for the last 15 years.
I imagine being an F1/Indycar driver gives you a little bit of a head start when learning
As long as Latifi is not flying up there, you are safe.
Wow, those clouds are scarier than being rammed in to a tyre wall!!!
Definitely anxiety inducing, everything is pulling everything apart; Eyes, Mind, Heart and Instinct.

A Man of many talents! Cool to see you flying Romain!
Romain, it's been amazing watching you learning to fly, bet it is such a beautiful view up there.
Barons are such beatiful pieces of machinery
Increíble que un diseño del año 1961 aún se siga produciendo. Con mejoras, obviamente. Con el tablero Garmin parece un avión comercial.
Wow, Bravo to you Sir…. Absolutely in love with your life journey!! F1…. To Indy…. To pilot…. You’re a Awesome, please continue to be YOU…..

Awesome! Thanks for posting Romain! A la prochaine!
I had no idea you were also a Baron fan. I like to see that you fly your own plane instead of having a big fancy jet take you places
Nicely done. Love the Baron. So cool you went and got your own plane. Have fun
Très sympa le petit vol aux instruments 👌🏻👌🏻
love these vids
I'll see you tomorrow at Texas Motor Speedway
Nice job
Trop bien et super intéressant.
Jolie machine Romain
Enjoy
Excellent!

I'd love to see a collaboration with an aviation youtuber!
wow; so impressive

Hello from rochester ny indycar fan
Nicely done Romain. How long have you been flying? A Baron is definitely a hot rod! 👍
Started last september with my PPL. now got MEL IFR and 175hours of flying. loving it

j'adore :D
Me who is both an avgeek and a racing fan (he absolutely buttered that landing)
nothing better than shooting an ILS in IFR conditions!
👌
it looked like you didn't use full flaps on landing? is that your technique?
Was that weather linked to the tornados in the Midwest?
Don't think so. just a very low ceiling and a bit of wind.
You got bit of an understeer into final turn 😂
Interesante
Have you ever thought of getting into air racing as your next move?
Race driver workload not all that different than pilot workload.
Merci de faire briller la France à l'internationale.
Que dit madame assise à coté de toi 😛
